LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court today issued notice to AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi on a petition alleging that a girl and her parents were illegally detained by him since 2007.
Justice Shri Narayan Shukla passed the order, seeking Gandhi’s reply, on a habeas corpus petition filed by Kishore Samrite, a former Samajwadi Party MLA from Madhya Pradesh, on behalf of Sukanya Devi, her father Balram Singh and mother Sumitra Devi.
The petition alleged that the petitioners — Sukanya Devi and her parents — were in illegal detention of Rahul Gandhi since January 4, 2007.
It has sought direction to command the Congress leader to produce the girl and her parents before the court and set them at liberty.

Sir your perspective is very much acceptable to long extent but Narayana Murty has to give importance to kannada in the primary level and instead if he stresses for compulsory english in primary level then which parent would dare to join his/her child to kannada medium schools. Also from the high school level english medium can be made compulsory and children will also retain the respect towards kannada. I AM NOT AT ALL SUPPORTING THAT BERGUR RAMACHANDRAPPA. Leave his words and discuss about what i said sir..

Article is right in every point and NRN deserves the honour to inagurate the Belgaum function. Bargur Ramchadrappa is creating some non-existing controversy so that he is identified in media for sometime. people like him or 6th Jnanapeeta just wanted to have some media attention always. Thats all they need to survive with no real contribution to this society.

It is good to see your coloumn in the “Kannada Prabha” the points raised by you against the letter of “Baragoora” is good, they are in the preconceived throught that it is Kannada Sahitya Sammelana” but it is “Vishwa Kannada Sammelana” in such occusion any prominent personnality from Karnataka can ingurate the function, “Sri Murti” is the best name for such function.

To be honest,Baraguru has a point in terms of his remarks on N.R.Murthy’s Kannada primary language comment.However,that may not be the issue for which we should rule out the option of Mr.Murthy.He is a incredible person who opened the eyes of common people of Karnataka/India to go out and seek new opportunity.There are debatable points as for as the quality of work he offered to Kannada people .Still,he has given more than bread and butter to many kannadiga’s directly or indirectly.We don’t know his complete view on kannada culture,language and other stuffs since he hardly spoke much about kannada in public.So,to conclude everything just by picking some setntence from his previous opinion and through that to public just to show him as anti kannada personality is abviously not right.Let Mr.Murthy open the Vishwa Kannada Samamelana and we will listen to his remarks on these issues.I am more than sure that Mr.Murthy will clear the air and come up clearly with his views on Kannada .Baraguru might be correct sometime,but we all know that sometime he might have his own reservation and points about most of the isssues.It doesn’t mean that we should listen to him.He is one among many kannadigas and we may not give too much of hype to his comments.Negligence is the key. I don’t know why these “Budhijeevis” like Baraguru,Karnad,Ananath Murthy project themselves as great by making stupid comments.Lets make the Sammelana a successfull event.

I am agree with your points and I would like to add few points. Kannada and English should be made compulsory from first standard for both Kannada and English medium schools. This might solve the conflict here.
