ಅಮೆರಿಕಕ್ಕೆ ಜೈ ಎನ್ನದೇ ಬೇರ್ಯಾವ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಿದೆ?

ಆ ಘಟನೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ನೆನಪಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಅಂದು 1976, ಜೂನ್ 27. ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 12.30ಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಸಕ್ಕೆ ಚಿಮ್ಮಿದ ಕೆಲವೇ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏರ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸ್್ನ ‘ಎಎಫ್-139’ ವಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ನಾಲ್ವರು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರು ಅಪಹರಣ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಸುದ್ದಿ ತಿಳಿಯಿತು. ಆ ವಿಮಾನ ‘ಲಾಡ್ ಏರ್್ಫೋರ್ಟ್್’ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿಯಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ಕಮಾಂಡೋಗಳು ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣವನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಸನ್ನದ್ಧರಾಗಿ ನಿಂತರು. ಲಾಡ್ ಬದಲು ಬೆಂಗಾಝಿ ಏರ್್ಫೋರ್ಟ್್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕವಾಗಿ ವಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿಸಿದ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರು ಆರೂವರೆ ಗಂಟೆಯ ಬಳಿಕ ಮತ್ತೆ ಟೇಕ್ ಆಫ್ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದರು. ವಿಮಾನ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವ 3 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಉಗಾಂಡದ ಎಂಟೆಬೆ ಏರ್್ಫೋರ್ಟ್್ಗೆ ಬಂದಿಳಿಯಿತು. ಹಾಗೆ ಬಂದಿಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಇನ್ನೂ ಮೂವರು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರು ಅಪಹರಣಕಾರರ ಜತೆಗೂಡಿದರು. ‘ಪೆರುವಿಯನ್್’ ಎಂಬ ಅಡ್ಡ ಹೆಸರು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕನೊಬ್ಬ ಒತ್ತೆಯಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದಾದರೆ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸ್, ಸ್ವಿಜರ್್ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್, ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಜರ್ಮನಿ, ಕೀನ್ಯಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಧನದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ 13 ಹಾಗೂ ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿ ಜೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ 40 ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಿಕ್ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟ.
ಉಗಾಂಡ ಹೇಳಿ ಕೇಳಿ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ. ಕುಖ್ಯಾತ ಸರ್ವಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಇದಿ ಅಮೀನ್ ಅದರ ಚುಕ್ಕಾಣಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿಯೇ ವಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ಉಗಾಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪಹರಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಈಡೇರಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ಜುಲೈ 1ರಿಂದ ದಿನವೊಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಂತಿಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರನ್ನು ಹತ್ಯೆಗೈಯ್ಯಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂಬ ಬೆದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಅಪಾಯವನ್ನರಿತ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಇತರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರ ಜತೆ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ಉಗಾಂಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ಒತ್ತಡ ಹೇರಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದವು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ವಿಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮೂರನೇ ಎರಡರಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರು ಇತರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳ ನಾಗರಿಕರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತಡಕ್ಕೆ ಮಣಿದ ಇದಿ ಅಮೀನ್ 106 ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರನ್ನು ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ ಉಳಿದವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ಕಮಾಂಡೋ ಆಪರೇಷನ್ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅಪಾಯ ತಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅರಿತ ಅವರು, ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರನ್ನೂ ವಿಮಾನದಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿಸಿ ಏರ್್ಪೋರ್ಟ್ ಟರ್ಮಿನಲ್ಸ್್ನ ಒಂದು ಕೋಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಏರ್್ಫೋರ್ಟ್್ನ ಹೊರಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಗಾಂಡ ಸೇನೆಯ ಒಂದು ತುಕಡಿಯನ್ನೂ ನಿಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಉಗಾಂಡ ಸರಕಾರವೇ ಅಪರಹಣಕಾರರ ಜತೆ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಇಝಾಕ್ ರಬಿನ್ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾವ ದಾರಿಗಳೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಮಾಂಡೋ ಆಪರೇಷನ್್ಗೆ ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡಲು ಉಗಾಂಡ 2,200 ಮೈಲು ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ, ವಸ್ತುಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹೇಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದೂ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ವಿಮಾನ ಫ್ರೆಂಚ್ ಕಂಪನಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಅನುಮತಿಯೂ ಬೇಕು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಬಂಧಿತ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಜುಲೈ 1ರಂದು ರಬಿನ್ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಸುದ್ದಿ ತಿಳಿದ ಅಪಹರಣಕಾರರು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಗಡುವನ್ನು ಜುಲೈ 4 ರವರೆಗೂ ಮುಂದೂಡಿದರು.
ಇತ್ತ ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿ ಗುಪ್ತ ದಳದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಮೊಟ್ಟಾ ಗುರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಜೋನಾಥನ್ ನೆತನ್ಯಾಹು ಯೋಜನೆಯೊಂದನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಉಗಾಂಡ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯೊಬ್ಬಳಿದ್ದಳು. ಆಕೆ ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್್ನ ಎಂಟೆಬೆ ಏರ್್ಫೋರ್ಟ್್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಸ್ತುಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಚಿತ್ರಣ ನೀಡಿದಳು. ಆಕೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಏಳು ಜನ ಅಪಹರಣಕಾರರಿಗೆ ಉಗಾಂಡ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿಚಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿ ಹಾಕಿರುವ ಕೊಠಡಿಯ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯೂ ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ಜತೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದೊಮ್ಮೆ ಎಂಟೆಬೆ ಏರ್್ಫೋರ್ಟ್್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಯೋಜಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸೇನಾ ಸಾರ್ಜೆಂಟ್ ಒಬ್ಬರು ತೆಗೆದಿದ್ದ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಚಿತ್ರಣವೂ ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂತು. ಜುಲೈ 2 ರಂದು ಕಮಾಂಡೋ ಆಪರೇಶನ್ ನಡೆಸಲು ಬೇಕಾದ ಸಕಲ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಲಾಡ್ ಏರ್್ಫೋರ್ಟ್್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಡಮ್ಮಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಇನ್ನೊಂದೆಡೆ ಕಮಾಂಡೋ ಆಪರೇಶನ್ ನಡೆಸುವುದು ಸುಲಭದ ಮಾತಲ್ಲ ಎಂದರಿತ ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿ ಸೇನೆ ಉಗಾಂಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡಲು ಸನ್ನದ್ಧವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಯಾವ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಅನುಸರಿಸುವುದು ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುವುದೇ ಕಷ್ಟದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅದೇನನ್ನಿಸಿತೋ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಬ್ರಿಗೇಡಿಯರ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಡಾನ್ ಶೋಮ್ರಾನ್ ಅವರು ಜೋನಾಥನ್ ನೆತನ್ಯಾಹು ರೂಪಿಸಿದ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೇ ಒಲವು ತೋರಿದರು. ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ಸರಕಾರ ಆತಂಕದಿಂದಲೇ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿತು.
ಜುಲೈ 3 ರಂದು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ 1.20ಕ್ಕೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ವಿಮಾನಗಳು ಏಕಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟವು. ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರನ್ನು ಬಂಧ ಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಿ ವಾಪಸ್ ಕರೆತರುವ ವಿಮಾನ. ಮತ್ತೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಧನ ದಾಸ್ತಾನು, ಮಗದೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಕಮಾಂಡೋಗಳು. ಕೊನೆಯದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ರೋವರ್ ಜೀಪುಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಒಂದು ಕಪ್ಪು ಮರ್ಸಿಡಿಸ್ ಬೆಂಝ್ ಕಾರಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಕಾರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಗಾಂಡದ ಭಾವುಟವಿತ್ತು. ಒಳಗೆ ನೆತನ್ಯಾಹು ಸಹಿತ ನಾಲ್ವರು ಕಮಾಂಡೋಗಳಿದ್ದರು. ಇದಿ ಅಮೀನ್ ಬಳಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದೂ ಬ್ಲ್ಯಾಕ್ ಮರ್ಸಿಡಿಸ್ ಬೆಂಝ್ ಕಾರನ್ನೇ. ಶರಮ್ ಶೇಕ್್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ನಿಲುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಿಮಾನಗಳು ಎಂಟೆಬೆ ತಲುಪಲು ಬೇಕಾದ ಏಳೂವರೆ ತಾಸು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅಣಿಯಾದವು. ಅಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ಆಕ್ರಮಣದ ಸಮಯ, ಸಂದರ್ಭ ಬಹುಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ರಾತ್ರಿ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಬೇಕಿತ್ತು. ರಾಡಾರ್್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುವಂತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಸಮಯವನ್ನೂ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಹಾಕಿಯೇ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಪ್ರತಿ ರಾತ್ರಿ 10.30ಕ್ಕೆ ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷ್ ಏರ್್ವೇಸ್್ನ ವಿಮಾನವೊಂದು ಇಂಧನ ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಎಂಟೆಬೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಲೈಟ್ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಆ ವಿಮಾನದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸಾಗಿದ ನಾಲ್ಕೂ ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿ ವಿಮಾನಗಳು ಎಂಟೆಬೆಗೆ ತೀರಾ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿಕ್ಟೋರಿಯಾ ಸರೋವರದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ರಾತ್ರಿ 10.30. ಹಾಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಮೂರು ವಿಮಾನಗಳು ಆಗಸದಲ್ಲೇ ಗಿರಕಿ ಹೊಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ, ಮುಂದಿನ ವಿಮಾನ ರಸ್ತೆಗಿಳಿಯಿತು.! ಕೂಡಲೆ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿದ 10 ಕಮಾಂಡೊಗಳು ಉಳಿದ ವಿಮಾನಗಳು ಇಳಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ದಾರಿ ಸುಗಮಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ಮೊದಲು ಇಳಿದ ವಿಮಾನ ಟ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಹಳೆಯ ಟರ್ಮಿನಲ್್ನತ್ತ ಸಾಗತೊಡಗಿತು. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಆ ಕಾರ್ಗೋ ವಿಮಾನದ ಕೆಳಭಾಗ ತೆರೆಯಿತು. ಅದರೊಳಗಿನಿಂದ 2 ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ರೋವರ್್ಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಪ್ಪು ಮರ್ಸಿಡಿಸ್ ಹೊರಬಂದವು! ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ರೋವರ್್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಗಾಂಡ ಸೈನಿಕರ ಸಮವಸ್ತ್ರ ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದ 35 ಕಮಾಂಡೋಗಳಿದ್ದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಮೂರು ವಾಹನಗಳ ದಂಡು ಟರ್ಮಿನಲ್ಸ್್ನತ್ತ ಸಾಗತೊಡಗಿತು. ಸೈಲೆನ್ಸ್್ಡ್ ಗನ್ ಬಳಸಿ ಅಡ್ಡ ಬಂದ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದ ನೆತನ್ಯಾಹು ಮರ್ಸಿಡಿಸ್ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದರು. ಕೇವಲ ಮೂರು ನಿಮಿಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ಅಪಹರಣಕಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಗುಂಡಿನ ಶಬ್ದ ಕೇಳಿ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೊಂಡ ಉಗಾಂಡ ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನು ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್್ರೋವರ್್ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ 35 ಕಮಾಂಡೋಗಳು ಗುಂಡಿನ ಚಕಮಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಮೊದಲನೇ ವಿಮಾನ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿದ 6 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೇ ವಿಮಾನವೂ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿಯಿತು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕಮಾಂಡೊಗಳು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ವಿಮಾನವೂ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿಯಿತು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಮಾಂಡೋಗಳು ಏರ್್ಪೋರ್ಟ್್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸನ್ನದ್ದವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ಉಗಾಂಡದ 8 ಮಿಗ್ ವಿಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸಿ ಸೈನಿಕರ ಜತೆ ಕಾದಾಟ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿದ ಕೊನೆ ವಿಮಾನ ಉಳಿದ ವಿಮಾನಗಳಿಗೆ ಮರು ಇಂಧನ ತುಂಬಿಸಿತು. ಹೀಗೆ ಕೆಲವೇ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸಿ ವಿಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಸಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ವಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ಟೇಕ್ ಆಫ್ ಮಾಡೋಣವೆಂದರೆ ಉಗಾಂಡ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಗುಂಡುಹಾರಿಸಿ ಹೊಡೆದುರುಳಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಅಪಾಯವನ್ನರಿತ ಕಮಾಂಡೋಗಳು ಏರ್್ಫೋರ್ಟ್್ನ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸಂಪರ್ಕವನ್ನೇ ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ರಾಸಾಯನಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಾಂಬ್್ಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿಡಿಸಿ ದಟ್ಟ ಹೊಗೆಯನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾದ ಕತ್ತಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಟೇಕ್ ಆಫ್ ಆದ ವಿಮಾನ 106 ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್್ನತ್ತ ಹೊರಟಿತು. ಇತ್ತ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವಾಸಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಣ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಮಾಂಡೋಗಳು ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬರಾಗಿಯೇ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸರಿದು ಉಳಿದ ವಿಮಾನಗಳನ್ನೇರಿದರು. ದಟ್ಟ ಹೊಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ದಾಳಿಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ದಿಕ್ಕೆಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಉಗಾಂಡ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಬೆಪ್ಪಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿ ಕಮಾಂಡೋಗಳು ವಿಮಾನಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾಪಸ್ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಇಂಥದ್ದೊಂದು ‘ಕಮಾಂಡೋ ಆಪರೇಷನ್್’ ಅನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಯಾವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವೂ ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ನಡೆಸಿಲ್ಲ. ಬಹುಶಃ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನಡೆಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ!
ಇಸ್ರೇಲನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಅಂತಹ ಎದೆಗಾರಿಕೆ ಇರುವುದು ಅಮೆರಿಕಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾತ್ರ. 2001, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 11ರ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆದ 6 ದಿನಗಳ ನಂತರ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ನಿಂತ ಅಮೆರಿಕದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಬುಷ್, ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಿತೂರಿದಾರ ಒಸಾಮ ಬಿನ್ ಲಾಡೆನ್್ನನ್ನು ವಶಕ್ಕೊಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ, ‘ಮೊದಲು ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸಿ, ನಾವೇ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ’ ಎಂದು ಉದ್ಧಟತನದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿತ್ತು ತಾಲಿಬಾನ್. ಹಾಗಂತ ಬುಷ್ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಲೆಹಾಕುತ್ತಾ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಮೆರಿಕದ ಪಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಬ್ಬೀ ಸಮುದ್ರದತ್ತ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಯೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟರು. ತಿಂಗಳು ತುಂಬುವ ಮೊದಲೇ “Operation Enduring Freedom‘ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು. 2001, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 7ರಂದು ಆರಂಭವಾದ ಆ ದಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ತಾನದ ಬೆಟ್ಟ-ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳೇ ದ್ವಂಸವಾಗತೊಡಗಿದವು. ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 14ರಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯೊಂದನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ ತಾಲಿಬಾನ್, ‘ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅಮೆರಿಕವೇನಾದರೂ ದಾಳಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯ ನೀಡಿದರೆ ಲಾಡೆನ್್ನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಮೂರನೇ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವೊಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ’ ಎಂದಿತು. ಇಷ್ಟಾಗಿಯೂ ಅಮೆರಿಕ ಯುದ್ಧ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಂತಹ ನೆರೆಯ ರಷ್ಯಾವೇ ಕೈಸುಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿದೆ, ಅಮೆರಿಕಕ್ಕೂ ಸೋಲು ಖಂಡಿತ ಎಂದು ಅನುಮಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಕಪಾಳಮೋಕ್ಷ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಒಂದೇ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ತಾನ ಅಮೆರಿಕದ ಕೈವಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
2011, ಮೇ 2ರ ಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ… ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ಸರಕಾರವಾಗಲಿ, ಸೇನೆಯಾಗಲಿ, ಗುಪ್ತಚರ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಾಗಲಿ ಇವ್ಯಾವುಗಳ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೂ ತರದೆ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದೊಳಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿರುವ ಅಮೆರಿಕ ಒಸಾಮನನ್ನು ಹತ್ಯೆಗೈದಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಘಟನೆಗಳೂ ಏನನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತವೆ? ಇಷ್ಟಾಗಿಯೂ ಭಾರತ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದೇನು? 1993ರ ಮುಂಬೈ ಸ್ಫೋಟದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪಿತೂರಿದಾರರಲ್ಲೊಬ್ಬನಾದ ದಾವೂದ್ ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಂ ಇರುವುದು ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದಲ್ಲೇ ಎಂಬುದು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತು. 1999ರ ಕಂದಾಹಾರ್ ವಿಮಾನ ಅಪಹರಣದ ನಂತರ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾದ ಮೌಲಾನಾ ಮಸೂದ್ ಅಝರ್ ಕೂಡ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ. 26/11 ಮುಂಬೈ ದಾಳಿಯ ರೂವಾರಿ ಹಫೀಜ್ ಮೊಹಮದ್ ಕೂಡ ಅಂಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಓಡಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದರೂ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಕ್ ಹಫೀಜ್ ಮೊಹಮದ್್ನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿತಾದರೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ಭಾರತ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಅಮೆರಿಕವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ… ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನಕ್ಕೇ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡದೇ ಒಸಾಮ ಬಿನ್ ಲಾಡೆನ್್ನನ್ನು ಕುಕ್ಕಿ ಸಾಯಿಸಿ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಸಾಡಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ತಾಕತ್ತು ನೆರೆಯ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕಿದೆಯೆ?
2003, ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 13ರ ಸಂಸತ್ ದಾಳಿಯ ನಂತರ ಭಾರತ ಗಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇನಾ ಜಮಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡಿತಾದರೂ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಕ್ಷಿಪಣಿಯನ್ನು ಉಡಾಯಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. 26/11 ಮುಂಬೈ ದಾಳಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಸಬ್ ಬಂಧನದ ನಂತರ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದ ಪಾತ್ರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದರೂ ಕ್ಷಿಪಣಿ ಹಾಕುವ ಮಾತು ಹಾಗಿರಲಿ, ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಪಟಾಕಿ ಸಿಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನಾಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಧೈರ್ಯ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ! ಪಾಕ್ ಆಕ್ರಮಿತ ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರ ತರಬೇತಿ ಶಿಬಿರಗಳಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡುವ ತಾಕತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನಾಳುವವರಾರಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಇಂತಹ ನಿರ್ವೀರ್ಯ ಭಾರತೀಯ ನಾಯಕರನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅಮೆರಿಕವೇ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನವನ್ನು ಮಟ್ಟಹಾಕಲಿ ಎಂದು ಅಶಿಸುವುದೊಳಿತು ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?!
2001ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ತಾನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ, “Our war on terror begins with Al Qaeda, but it does not end there‘ ಎಂದಿದ್ದರು ಆಗಿನ ಅಮೆರಿಕ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಬುಷ್. ಒಸಾಮ ಪತ್ತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದ ನಿಜರೂಪ ಬಯಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅಮೆರಿಕ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಒಬಾಮ ಅವರ ಮುಂದಿನ ಗುರಿ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನವಾಗಲಿ.

Its so easy to make comments on India’s inability to take such kind of actions but why don’t you consider few things ? America is a super power, their defense budget is more than our entire budget. They are not surrounded by countries which are waiting for its fall, it is not trying to provide basic infrastructure/education to its citizens, It doesn’t have to worry about nuclear attack as they have solid protection. USA does not care about morality,its the cause of all the problems in middle east. If we take similar action, it won’t sit tight, pakistan will call for a war even though they can’t win it.
India is a developing country we can’t afford a war at this point in time ! We have worked hard to reach this level and can’t lose it by just some stupid action !

First of all thank you for this beautiful article, it really helped me to know the concern of ISRAEL for their citizens. Next I am trying to give my insight about “WHY INDIA IS ON A BACK FOOT TO ATTACK PAKISTAN?”,the question is not “WHY INDIA IS NOT EVEN TRYING TO ATTACK PAKISTAN?” but the question is “WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF INDIA INDEED ATTACKS PAKISTAN?”. The discussion is elaborate but i will try to complete this with less number of points
1) It is not a shock anymore that CHINA is openly supporting PAKISTAN.
2)After INDIA attacks PAK, the length of war depends on the number of allies that INDIA and PAK will get.(Still i want to tell that there is no possibility that a full fledged war takes(mostly because NATO might strike a deal between the 2 countries) but we never know how events will change).
3)At the time of war, CHINA((and/or U.S) might use its power as a PERMANENT member of UN council to make a deal between 2 countries to stop war. I want to tell you that the only reason why CHINA would do this step is to “ANNOUNCE ITSELF AS A POWERFUL COUNTRY TO THE WORLD AND INDIRECTLY ANNOUNCING TO U.S THAT ITS TIME HAS ENDED AS THE WORLD POWER”.
4)If not step 3 then obviously CHINA will support PAKISTAN and of course U.S will ally with INDIA. “HERE ALSO THE ONLY REASON WHY U.S SUPPORTS INDIA IS TO TELL THE WORLD THAT U.S IS STILL THE MOST POWERFUL IN THE WORLD OBVIOUSLY BY TRYING TO DEFEAT CHINA. It is hard to tell who wins if U.S and CHINA will indulge in an all out war.
5) If step 4 will come into action then no doubt INDIA and PAKISTAN will be the center of THE MOST FIERCE BATTLE OF NEW MILLENNIUM. Then the battle will no longer help India’s true objectives to come true because by the time half of INDIA might have already been destroyed and Pakistan might have been erased from the WORLD MAP. The WAR will just be the showdown between the two big powers of the world.
Though i want to share many more things I will end my discussion here.
I want to conclude that all above points are fictional but we never know what might really happen.
I completely agree with Chandraneel, first of all India is not US. There are many problems haunting India like corruption, poverty, social imbalance ect. First of all we must tighten our internal security instead of waging a war. What can you expect from a govt which repealed POTA act to appease one section of people. First of all we must unite as a country and we must fight the internal enemy rather than external enemy. Moreover, even without waging a war Pakistan will perish on its own by its foolish acts and evil designs.

Well said Chandraneel,but i have a different view:
1)China currently is supporting Pakistan,its also no more a shock that china’s target is INDIA with or without Pak’s support and they have already proved that by trying to issue a seperate VISA to arunachaal pradesh thus telling the world that its no more a part of India,so there is noo point in being afraid of China as i am 1 hundred percent sure they don’t have the guts of getting into a fulll fledged war against INDIA apart from using pak as a catalyst
2)In war(in current world sitiuation) always the one who hits 1st is the winner as NATO will mst probably interfere and strike a deal as you havee only told..
3)Let me tell you one thing:Not in next 30 years China can compete with US,they just need to prove one point and it is that they are the super power of ASIA and not the world(it is US),Please Bear in Mind its only India who are the worthy compitator’s of China and chinese are always a threat to India more than pak bec they are not only cruel just like pak but also cunning..
4)Again I don”t think that US is dumb enough to announce an open war against China as they are pretty much dependent on China for everything starting from Toilet paper to caps their base ball payers wear and mother board of their computer’s.
5)So the chances are one in a million or may be billion that US and China will indulge in a war on Indian soil for below reasons:
1)China is not courageous enough to get into a war against US
2)US thouggh courageous cannot afford an other war from the financial view point and not dumb enough to screw up their relationship with Chiina and moreover there is no Fuel available in CHINa..lol 😛
3)Even if this happens i don’t see why it would happen on Indian soil…
lastly the wholle point of thiss article is to admire the courage and brillliance of Isreali’s and US for carying such a wonderfu operation in the enemy ountries,If we don’t do any such operations just fearing China(1 neighbour) then think of Isreal who are covered by 5 Islamic countries and stiill being bravve enough to carrry that operation on a muslim contry(uganda)
