ಎಂಥಾ ನಿರ್ವೀರ್ಯರ ಕೈಲಿ ವೀರ, ಪರಮವೀರಚಕ್ರ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ನೋಡಿ?!

ಈ ಭಾರತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯೇನಾದರೂ ಇದೆಯೇ? ಇನ್ನೆಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷ ಇದೇ ರೀತಿ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು, ಜನರನ್ನು ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ದೇಶವಾಳುತ್ತಾರೆ? ಹೇಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಹೊರಳುವ ಇವರ ನಾಲಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಎಷ್ಟು ದಿನ ಅಂತ ಜನರೂ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು? ಮೊನ್ನೆ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 13ರಂದು ಸಂಸತ್ ಭವನದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದ ದಾಳಿಗೆ 10 ವರ್ಷ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಹುತಾತ್ಮರ ಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಆಡಿರುವ ಮಾತುಗಳಾದರೂ ಎಂಥವು?”ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ ಗುರುವಿನದ್ದೂ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ 20 ಕ್ಷಮಾದಾನ ಅರ್ಜಿಗಳು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಮುಂದಿವೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಗಡುವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ 72ನೇ ವಿಧಿ ಕಾಲಮಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದು ಗೃಹ ಖಾತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ಮುಲ್ಲಪಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರನ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಾನೂನು ಸಚಿವ ಸಲ್ಮಾನ್ ಖುರ್ಷಿದ್ ಅವರದ್ದೂ ಇದೇ ವರಾತ. ಇವರುಗಳ ಮಾತಿನ ಅರ್ಥವೇನು? ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ ಗುರುವೇನು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕ್ರಿಮಿನಲ್ಲಾ? ಅವನು ಎಸಗಿದ್ದೇನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ದ್ರೋಹವೇ? ಆತನಿಗೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳನ್ನೆಸಗಿ ಕ್ಷಮಾದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಹಾಕಿದವರಿಗೂ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸವಿಲ್ಲವೆ? ಅದಿರಲಿ, ಒಂದು ಕ್ಷಮಾದಾನ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಾಮರ್ಶಿಸಿ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಮಯ ಬೇಕು? ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಯಾರನ್ನು ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಸಮನ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಕಾನೂನು ಸಲಹೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು, ಸುಪ್ರೀಂಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮುಖ್ಯನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನೇ ಕರೆದು ಸಲಹೆ ಕೇಳಬಹುದಾದ ವಿಶೇಷಾಧಿಕಾರ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಷ್ಟಾಗಿಯೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಏಕೆ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ? ಇಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಭವನದೊಳಗೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಘನ ಕಾರ್ಯವಾದರೂ ಏನು? ಅಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯದೊತ್ತಡವಾದರೂ ಏನಿದೆ? ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ ಗುರುವಿನ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಾಮರ್ಶಿಸಲೂ ಸಮಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಯಾವ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ? 2006ರಿಂದಲೂ ಕೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವ ಕ್ಷಮಾದಾನ ಮನವಿಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲು ಇನ್ನೆಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಬೇಕು? ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಸೇತರ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳು ಅಧಿಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತೊಗೆಯುವಂತೆ ಕೋರಿದಾಗ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ 356ನೇ ವಿಧಿಯಂತೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ಹೇರುವಾಗ ತೋರುವ ಆತುರ ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹಿಯನ್ನು ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕುವಾಗ ಏಕೆ ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ? ಇಂತಿಷ್ಟೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯಾವ ಗಡುವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವುದಾದರೆ ವಿಳಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರಾದ ನಮ್ಮ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಗಳೂ ಇದೇ ಧೋರಣೆ ತೋರಬಹುದಿತ್ತಲ್ಲವೆ?
ಇಷ್ಟಾಗಿಯೂ ನಮ್ಮ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಗಳು ಯಾವ ರೀತಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡವು?
ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು 2001, ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 13ರಂದು. 2002, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 26ರಂದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಕಲಾಂ ಸಂಸತ್ ದಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಡಿದ ಐವರು ಸೈನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಚಕ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಅಶೋಕ ಚಕ್ರ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು. ಅದೇ ವರ್ಷ ದಿಲ್ಲಿಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪಿತೂರಿದಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರಿ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕ ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ ಗುರುವಿಗೆ ಗಲ್ಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿತು. ಅದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲ್ಮನವಿಯನ್ನು 2003ರಲ್ಲಿ ದಿಲ್ಲಿ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಗಲ್ಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಹಿಡಿಯಿತು. ಆನಂತರ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮೊರೆಹೋಗಲಾಯಿತು. ಆದರೆ 2004ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಫ್ಜಲ್್ನ ಮೇಲ್ಮನವಿಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಆತನನ್ನು ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೇರಿಸುವ ದಿನಾಂಕವನ್ನು 2006, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 20 ಎಂದು ನಿಗದಿ ಮಾಡಿತು. ತನ್ನ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಮರುಪಶೀಲಿಸುವಂತೆ, ಕ್ಷಮಾದಾನ ಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನೂ ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿತು. ಪ್ರತಿಸಾರಿಯೂ ನಾವು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಗಳನ್ನು ದೂರುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ ಗುರುವಿನ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಗಳು ತೋರಿದ ಸಂವೇದನೆ ಆಳುವ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ? ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಸಬ್ ವಿಚಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರ ಭಾವನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಗಳು ತ್ವರಿತವಾಗಿ ಪರಾಮರ್ಶಿಸಿ ತೀರ್ಪು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ಸರ್ಕಾರವೇಕೆ ನಿದ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ? ಇಂತಹ ದೂರ್ತ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನರಿತ ಹುತಾತ್ಮರ ಕುಟುಂಬವರ್ಗದವರು,”2006, ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 13ರೊಳಗೆ ಅಫ್ಜಲ್್ನನ್ನು ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೇರಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ಶೌರ್ಯ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ’ ಎಂದು ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಅವರ ಬೆದರಿಕೆಗಾಗಲಿ, ನೋವಿಗಾಗಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಸೊಪ್ಪುಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೇನಂತೆ, ಹುತಾತ್ಮರ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು 2006 ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 13ರಂದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿಸಿದರು.”ಈ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಯಂನಲ್ಲಿಡಿ, ಅಫ್ಜಲ್್ನನ್ನು ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೇರಿಸದ ಹೊರತು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಬೆಲೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದು ನೋವಿನಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆ ನೋವು ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೇಡಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್್ಗೇಕೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ?
2009ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಕನಸು ಹೊತ್ತ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಾದರೂ ಎಂಥದ್ದು? ಪಂಜಾಬ್್ನ ಹೋಶಿಯಾರ್್ಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ,”ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ ಗುರುವನ್ನು ಆತನ ಸರದಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೇರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಹೆಸರು 24ನೆಯದ್ದು. ಅದನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದರು! ಅಂದರೇನು? 2004ರಲ್ಲಿ ಧನಂಜಯ್ ಚಟರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ನಂತರ ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ಯಾರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರಾ? ಕಳೆದ 7 ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕೈದಿಯನ್ನೂ ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಲ್ಲವೇಕೆ? ಹಾಗಿರುವಾಗ 24ನೇ ನಂಬರ್ ಬರುವುದು ಯಾವಾಗ? ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ ಗುರುವನ್ನು ಫಾಸಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವುದಾದರೂ ಎಂದು? ಅಲ್ಲಾ, ಸರದಿಯ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲಷ್ಟೇ ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೇರಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಾ ಇವರಿಗೆ 1978ರ ರಂಗ-ಬಿಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ನೆನಪಿದೆಯೇ? ಗೀತಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಜಯ್ ಚೋಪ್ರಾ ಎಂಬ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಅಪ್ರಾಪ್ತ ಅಕ್ಕ-ತಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ಕಗ್ಗೊಲೆಗೈದ ರಂಗ-ಬಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಕುಖ್ಯಾತ ಕ್ರಿಮಿನಲ್್ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಬೇಕೆಂದು ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ದಿಲ್ಲಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಬೀದಿಗಿಳಿದರು. ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಒತ್ತಡಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆದರಿದ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಲೆಹಾಕಿ ಶೀಘ್ರ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ನಿಗದಿಯಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ 1982ರಲ್ಲಿ ಗಲ್ಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಿತು! ಅವತ್ತು ಸರದಿಯ ಮಾತೇಕೆ ಕೇಳಿಬಂದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ? ಕೇವಲ 4 ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೀರ್ಪು ಹೊರಬಿದ್ದು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಜಾರಿ ಮಾಡಬಹುದಾದರೆ ಅಫ್ಜಲ್್ನಂಥ ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹಿಯನ್ನು ಫಾಸಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೇನು ದಾಡಿ? ಕಳೆದ 7 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಪೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದಾದರೂ ಯಾವ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಸಾಧನೆಗಾಗಿ?
ಇಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ಅಫ್ಜಲ್್ನನ್ನು ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೇರಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾದರೂ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕಿದೆ ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಾ?
ಹುತಾತ್ಮರ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಶೌರ್ಯ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿಸಿದಾಗ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನಾಯಕರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನು ಗೊತ್ತೆ?”ಆತನ ಕ್ಷಮಾದಾನದ ಅರ್ಜಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಮುಂದಿದೆ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೇ ನಾವೇನು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದಿತು ಯುಪಿಎ ಸರ್ಕಾರ. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಕಲಾಂ ಜನರ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರು ತಪ್ಪಿತಸ್ಥರ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಒಬ್ಬ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿಯಾದವರು ರಾಜಕೀಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಮಾತು, ವಿವಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸದೇ ಇರುವುದು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ 2007ರಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಾವಧಿ ಮುಗಿಯುವವರೆಗೂ ಕಲಾಂ ಕಾಯಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಅವಧಿ ಮುಗಿದ ನಂತರ ಕಲಾಂ ನೀಡಿದ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್್ನ ನಿಜಬಣ್ಣವನ್ನು ಬಯಲು ಮಾಡಿತು.”ಅಫ್ಜಲ್್ನ ಕ್ಷಮಾದಾನ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಗೃಹಖಾತೆಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಭವನಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಹಾಗಿರುವಾಗ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಾದರೂ ಹೇಗೆ?’ ಎಂದರು ಕಲಾಂ! ಇದು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್್ನ ನಿಜವಾದ ರೂಪ. ಇಂತಹ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಈಗ ಹೊಸರಾಗ ಹಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅಂದು ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೇರುವವರ ಸರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ 24ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ, ಇಂದು ಕ್ಷಮಾದಾನದ 20 ಅರ್ಜಿಗಳು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಮುಂದಿವೆ, ಹಾಗಂತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಗಡುವು ಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ! ಇದು ಏನನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ? ಬಹುಶಃ ಕಂದಾಹಾರ್, ರುಬಿಯಾ ಭಾನು ಅಪಹರಣದಂಥ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಸಂಭವಿಸಲಿ, ಅಫ್ಜಲ್, ಕಸಬ್್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡೋಣ, ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರನ್ನು ಖುಷಿಪಡಿಸೋಣ ಎಂದು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಭಾವಿಸಿದಂತಿಲ್ಲವೆ? ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ ಗುರು ಕ್ಷಮಾದಾನ ಕೋರಿ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದು ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 3, 2006ರಂದು. 2011 ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದ ವೇಳೆ ಕ್ಷಮಾದಾನ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಗೃಹಸಚಿವ ಪಿ.ಚಿದಂಬರಂ ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ!
ಇದು ಏನನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ?
ಅಫ್ಜಲ್್ಗುರುವನ್ನು ಜೈಲಲ್ಲೇ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಇನ್ನೆಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷ ಹುತಾತ್ಮರಿಗೆ ಅಗೌರವ ತೋರಲು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಹವಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ? ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅಂದು ಪೋಲಿಸರು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರ ಗುಂಡಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಎದೆಕೊಡುವ ಬದಲು ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೇ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿರುತ್ತಿತ್ತೇನೋ? ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಆ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗಾದರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹೇಡಿಗಳು, ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳು, ದೇಶವಾಸಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂವೇದನೆ ಇಲ್ಲದವರು ಸತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದನಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆ? ಗನ್ನರ್ ಮಿರ್ದಾಲ್ ಅದ್ಯಾವ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ”ಏಷ್ಯನ್ ಡ್ರಾಮಾ’ದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು”ಸಾಫ್ಟ್ ಸ್ಟೇಟ್್’ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದರೋ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನಾಳುವವರು ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವೀರ್ಯರ ನಾಡಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೊರಟಿರುವುದಂತೂ ನಿಜ. 2008, ನವೆಂಬರ್ 26ರಂದು ಮುಂಬೈ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆದ ನಂತರ, ದಾವೂದ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ 50 ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರ ಮಾಡಿ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುಪಿಎ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಒತ್ತಡ ಹೇರಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಎಸ್ಸೆಮ್ಮೆಸ್ ಬಹಳ ಹರಿದಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು-“ದಾವೂದ್ ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಂನನ್ನು ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರೆ ಜೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಕೈಗೊಂದು ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ದಂಧೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರಾತಂಕವಾಗಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಂಬ್ ಸಿಡಿಯುತ್ತದೆಯೋ ಎಂಬ ಭಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಬದುಕು ನಡೆಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಯಾವ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲೂ ಸತ್ತುಬಿಡಬಹುದು. ಅವನನ್ನು ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರೇ ಅಪಾಯ ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ದಾವೂದ್್ನನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ’! ಇದೊಂದು ಜೋಕಾದರೂ ಬಹಳ ಮಾರ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿದೆ, ಭಾರತದ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿ ಹಿಡಿದಂತಿದೆ ಎನಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೆ? ಒಸಾಮನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅಮೆರಿಕ ಏನು ಮಾಡಿತು? ಸಾಯಿಸಿ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆಸೆದು ಬಂತು. ಅದೂ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಕಟ್ಟರ್್ಪಂಥೀಯ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರೆಲ್ಲರ ಆರಾಧ್ಯ ದೈವ ಒಸಾಮಾನ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು. ಅಂತಹ ತಾಕತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಯಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣುವುದು ಯಾವಾಗ? ಇಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ಪೋರ್ಚುಗಲ್್ನಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ತರಲಾದ ಅಬು ಸಲೇಂ ಏನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ? ತಿಂದುಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಆರಾಮವಾಗಿಲ್ಲವೆ? ಕಸಬ್್ಗೆ ಗಲ್ಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿದ ನಂತರವೂ ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ 45 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡಿ ಅವನ ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇವು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆಯೆಂದರೆ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರಿಗೆ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಯಾವುದಿದೆ? ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನಕ್ಕೆ 50 ಜನ”ಮೋಸ್ಟ್ ವಾಂಟೆಡ್್’ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರ ಮಾಡಿ ಎಂದು ಗೋಗರೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಯಾವ ಪುರುಷಾರ್ಥಕ್ಕೆ? ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಸಬ್, ಅಫ್ಜಲ್್ನನ್ನೇ ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕುವ ತಾಕತ್ತಿಲ್ಲದಿರುವಾಗ, ಇನ್ನೂ 50 ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರ ಮಾಡಿ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿರುವುದೇಕೆ? ನಮ್ಮ ಹಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ಬೀಫ್ ಬಿರ್ಯಾನಿ ಮಾಡಿ ತಿನ್ನಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾ?
ಇವತ್ತು ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ ಗುರುನಂಥ ಒಬ್ಬ ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ನೀಡುವಾಗಲೂ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಮುನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೋ, ಅವರ ಮತಗಳು ಕೈತಪ್ಪಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೋ ಎಂಬ ಅಳುಕು, ಆತಂಕ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದೆಯೆಂದರೆ ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವಿದೆ? ಎಂಥವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನಾಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಹೇಳಿ? ಎಂತಹ ನಿರ್ವೀರ್ಯರ ಕೈಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸೈನಿಕರು ವೀರ, ಪರಮವೀರ, ಅಶೋಕಚಕ್ರ, ಕೀರ್ತಿಚಕ್ರ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಯೋಚಿಸಿ? ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 13 ಬಂದಾಗಲೂ ಅಫ್ಜಲ್ ಆರಾಮವಾಗಿ ಇರುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಇದೇ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತದೆ ನೋಡಿ!

It is easy to take out our anger and frustration for the Dec 13th attack, by hanging the guy who our agencies blame as the culprit/mastermind. But give it another thought, when the incident happened, Afzal Guru was in prison and he is blamed of conspiring and masterminding the attack. The Supreme court ruling also noted that there were discrepancies in the prosecution’s arguments while passing it’s judgement. The prosecution was not able to decisively prove that Afzal was the mastermind behind the attacks. That is the reason why the President’s office is taking it’s time to pass it’s decision on the mercy plea. Killing Afzal will only give a sadistic satisfaction to the conscience of the nation, exactly the type of pleasure these guys derive from killing innocents. I agree he is not innocent and doesn’t deserve mercy, but truly hanging him FOR the Parliament attack is actually a grey area, while no one would argue against charging him for sedition. It is comparable to hanging Bhagat Singh for killing a police officer, while the actual reason was the Parliament bombing. That is the real dilemma. Coming to Kasab’s case, the courts are hearing the case and the law will follow it’s course. Infact, I’m sure that you’d agree that the fact that he got a sentence so early from the session’s court is fast, considered the pace of criminal cases in our country. We should not allow our animal instincts to guide our judgement in Kasab’s case. I’d call the decision makers as hijdas or namards, if they delayed the mercy plea from Kasab for so long (in light of irrefutable evidence), but I would also think twice before deciding on Afzal Guru.
I know there will be many comments condemning my views, but I am a proud Indian, who is guaranteed a right to express my opinions without fear of retribution. Any sane Indian condemning my views is welcome do so without resorting to personal attacks.

Recently I attended the megha fight talk show, here are my observations.
Politicians or people of India should not tolerate any one or anything that is concerning the integrity and security of the nation. But the sad part is we are divided in terms of caste, region, religion, party, etc. It is really bad.
Spiritually they say that what you see around you is mahye.
I realized it by attending the meghafight by suvarna channel. The politicians were at their best in showing their honesty to their party leaders and party. I think some of the politicians had ensured that their cohorts are present in full strength. You can understand the maturity of the audience present. And the debate always sidetracked from the actual topic, should clemency be given to Afzal Guru. No one spoke with jingoism and objectively. Always it was an attack towards one party or person. Overall it was a very sad affair. Funniest part is that the politicians behaved as if it is a daily business of self promotion/advertising themselves in front of the camera and pseudo audience.

I fully agree with Mr.Deepak Gouda…We cant take law into our hands and cross our limits. Or in other words we cant act like a terrorist with terrorists! I am not saying that we should not hang them or they are good people. But there is law and order to punish them and if you want it or not, as a citizan of india you should follow it. And regarding the political parties I dont think that any of the political parties are good and work for the true development of the country. My blood boils when I think of this shameless attitude of the congress. They have not done anything to the country except claiming to win the freedom for us. That also the British gave us the freedom not because of the congg but because of Gandhiji’s freedom movement. I think instead of hanging Afzal we should hang the cong leaders.
