with self-respect because of people like you
practicing sadachara. Even so the attacks mounted by
other religions on Hinduism are repeated day after
day. This is most painful to note.
The recent events that took place in
Tirumala Tirupathi are disheartening to every Hindu.
It is stunning to find that nearly 50 Christian
families are settled on Tirumala hill and no less than
20 persons of Christianity are employed in TT
devastanam.
These families conducted Christmas prayers
on the Tirumala Hill, which goes to prove the
complacency of the TTD Board. These Christian elements
are audacious enough to distribute Christian pamphlets
to devotees going to Tirupathi Temple. What is the
Devastanam’s vigilance department doing? Such brazen
acts on the part of Christians makes one suspect that
these people are willy-nilly supported by the TTD
Board.
Added to this sad state of affairs is the
latest move by the authorities recognizing Tirumala as
a township with the temple jurisdiction restricted to
27.5 sq.km. This move it is widely believed that this
step is meant to make way for construction of
Church(es?) on Tirumala hills. Above events lend
evidence to this belief. Otherwise what is the reason
to reduce the sacred seven hills area of 243 sq.km to
27.5 sq. km? They’re by drastically reducing the
jurisdiction of Devastanams? Reducing the Lord
Venkateswara’s seven hills to two hills is an affront
to religious sentiments of Hindus.
The Vice-Chancellor, Dean and other
functionaries of Padmavati University are believing
Christians and they are forcing the students to
participate in Christian Prayers, taking them to
Church in vehicles owned by the University, conducting
Christian religious propaganda in SV University
Hostels, distributing Christian literature in
educational institutions are some of the Christian
activities that deeply perturb Hindu community.
The offerings made by devotees in Lord
Balaji’s Hundi should be used only for Hindu
religion, spiritual activities. With that object in
view the Hindu Dharma Prachara Samstha was started in
the year 1968. But later in the year 1982 the word
Hindu was removed from its name changing it to Dharma
Prachara Parishat. The motive behind the change in
name is to divert the huge funds offered by the
devotees to Lord Sri Venkateswara as token of their
religious devotion to populist Government schemes.
As a part of that move Rs. 500 crores
worth of Hundi money is ought to be diverted in the
name of “Irrigation Bonds”. Going the way Govt.
misutilization of public funds. How the religious
funds are going to be spent in any one’s guess. Thus
to divert the money offered by devotees with specific
religious motives to non-religious purpose is clear
case of subversion of Hindu religion.
Tirumala is the most sacred place. To
convert it into a tourist, recreational center as the
Govt. is planning, is the sure way to ultimately make
it in to a pleasure resort. This is reprehensible.
If the sacred Tirumala Temple Township is
degraded in this fashion, where is the place left for
Hinduism? What is the fate of Hindu Society?
Let us all wake up before it is too late.
Let us resolve to fight out to protect the sanctity
and property of sacred TT Kshetram through all
possible democratic means. Let us resolve to denote
all our mite and might in this regard.

I am one of them who celebrated the win of BJP in the state.I too expected a drastic change in the administation.A change in the worst old policies.A change in the corruption world.Achange in the road condition.More over a govt which can here the poors cry.A change in . … . . . . . . . . . .. etc
But for my bad luck,even after a period of 6 months nothing fruited through this BJP administration in Mangalore and in the state.
We are searching the road which we lost in the pond and ditches throught Mangalore city corporation.If you are comming to Mangalore you will be greeted by the scented and fully filled dustbins.

I just found a way to communicate to you..
i have seen so many appriciation above. thats a good thing.One thing i am constantly seeing from many years.. (I started rerading news papers from age of 8 and now i am 27. Whatever the issues and controverises which comes on papers and news channels. ..everything will be forgotten even though issue is alive people are suffering and people will not remeber what kind of politics Mr gowda did , or what happened to our lost soldiers at border, what happened to polluted ship which came to india’s port drop some big head’s shi*. what happ to Scarlet’s case in Goa, whats happing to Lokayukta’s rides results..,what happ to the person who has been killed recently who was a part of anti liquor loby (even i dont remebr his name!!!sorry for that)..there is no follow up on these kind of isseus.
I would like to make follow up coloumn on each news papers and not to close the issues untill it is resolved and follow up everyday.
we blame only when it happens to us.. we start thinking only when our family members involved in some trouble.. then we start talking about society..
ex. guys who drink drive they only learn lesson when their family member knocked by a drunken driver.
we blog it ..we put a comment it in some place and blow the social care getting back to screw the laptop but when somebody ask us to come forward and protest even on the weekends or to do some work for social cause nobody comes forward …
For the people who are living dead your writings are just a momentary thrill and say “wow what a writer and i realy like what you write..”. and enjoy reading..probably what everyone of us ask oureslves what we are doing to make each other”s life better… or what could we change ?when we become socially responsible?

Your knowledge base is extremely good, in fact amazing. Thanks to Dr. Bhairappa’s works and many other books/ journals you have referred. I respect you a lot for all that. Frankly speaking (my opinion), mentioning about ‘condoms’ is never seen as a way to speak on a dais like the one in Hubballi. It’s just like inviting comments from quacks like Ravi Belagere.
Before talking on the dais, having a list of important points about the function is very important. If you are unprepared, that’s the challenge to prepare only for 2-3 mins talk and conclude.
There is a saying “Knowledge is power”. You have it but use it wisely. Forget about the quacks (URA, Belagere etc.). Respected Dr. Bhairappa has maintained the dignity for long time. His footsteps are worth following.
The above are my humble requests. I hope that you’ll keep in mind.
BTW, no weekend is complete without reading your article “bettale jagattu”. Double thumbs up for that

I just finished reading your ” Narendra modi” book… It’s amazing - both your writing & Narendra Modi.
By the time reading this book, got the news that TATA NANO shifted its plant to Gujrath… one more feather in Modi’s Cap… And Modi once again proved that he is The Best Chief Minsiter any state of this country ever had. Dynamic, Dashing and Assertive.
One more point I like to mention about Modi - the Interview with Karan Thapar(Devils Advocate) in 2005, where Modi went out of the interview in just 10 Mins. ( As Karan continuesly started asking about Modis Image after Post Godhra events, ignoring his great achivemements after that) But some news papers went on saying Modi dehydrated by Karan thapar…. What a joke! shame to media…
Also I heard some where as Modi mentioning :

On eve of Nehru’s birthday, there was a program in a private TV channel. Panel was debating on Nehru’s “GREATNESS” as a person and etc. I wonder if you have any article written on him.
One of the panelists made comment that Mr. Nehru was the sole man behind unification of India (SLB in the VK article had written that Mr. Patel was responsible for this. And I remember General Cariappa mentioning the same) your thoughts?

Couple of points,
1. I completely share the same views as yours with all the articles (Especialy on Hinduism) you have written. I appreciate your technique of weaving words and triggerging thoughts in the minds of the reader by showing the reality.
2. It would really help if you write some article on some of the points below…

4. Our people should be made to think that they are a prt of this society and they should contribute to the welfare instead of blaming the system. We should create an atmosphere where college, school students can come and share their views, debate to make a cleaner Bangalore… or Safe Bangalore..etc…etc
4. Our govt should involve corporate houses for their contribution is getting rid of some social problems… by adapting a locality, improving…solving Traffic woes in Blore etc…etc…
5. This can be like a letter to the CM or something like dat.
6. What I feel is that, most of the people want to be a part of this change but it just that they lack a platform to do it. Why dont you create a platform through your writings???

Dr Yadiyurappaningondu Kahi gulige” is an excellent article to remind him about his responsibilities and what people expect from him.I really appreciate the way you have presented the facts in the article, I ma being a swayam sevak from childhood I do expect a a good, honest governance based on Moral values what Sangha has given to society.I don’t know why till now I was observing all the mistakes government is doing as you said I used to convince myself saying he may be doing with a good reason behind, but I observed this by elections the way BJP is doing no difference from any other crap political party.But still I excuse because they need to have a stable government let them win 6 seats at least, I pray for them but after that I feel Dr.BSY shouldn’t be excused from giving healthy governance.I strongly feel the national leaders of BJP and Sangh people should the observe and realize the facts you have told and advice BSY to take self corrective measures at the earliest.I also strongly agree with you that CM or any other politicians should be polite like S.M Krishna, J.H Patel, some time only the way they communicate in front of public matters, One best example in my native Karkala people given a chance to BJP after 32 years of congress ruling in the constituency in 2004 elections, event hough the congress candidate was a gentle man in people perspective.But during 2008 elections when I spoke with our village people they are telling ” We had given a chance to BJP last time but not this time” naturally I asked why so? because BJP MLA has done a tremendous development works in rural areas which congress couldn’t do for past 32 years, I was trying to convince to people about this but reply I got is” We need a MLA who can talk politely and listen to our difficulties we dont know whether he can solve our problem or not he should give us a polite answer that will fill faith in us, we dont want short tempered aggressive MLA, we need MLA who can identify us and respect us when we go to his office” All the characters people were expecting was there in our congress MLA candidate except pro development mindset:) but our BJP candidate was a very aggressive,energetic, value based, development oriented and a Swabhimani person.I feel BJP MLAs should practice how to balance their personality because just doing development is not sufficient people expect something beyond that. I feel Sri. Narendra Modi Ji can be a role model for any political leader.

I am one of your fans. My mother subscribes to Vijaya Karnataka in BengaLuru and I keep hearing in phone calls all the good stuff in the paper. I read it regularly now as e-paper is available on the net. In internet forums that I visit, I have tried to give references to your writings a couple of times. I just read the Modi article and surely will share in internet forums in the coming year.
