ನೇತಾಗಳು ಬಹಳಷ್ಟಿದ್ದರು, ನೇತಾಜಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವರೊಬ್ಬರೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದರು!

Give me Blood, I promise you Freedom!

ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಿ, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸುಭಾಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಬೋಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಇಬ್ಬರ ಆಲೋಚನೆ, ಆಶಯ, ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಅನುಸರಿಸಲು ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ ಬಾಲಗಂಗಾಧರ ತಿಲಕ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಅರವಿಂದ ಘೋಷ್್ಗೂ ಅಸಮ್ಮತಿಯಿತ್ತು. ರಕ್ತ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೇ ಹೊರತು, ಗಾಂಧೀ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದನೆಯ ಗೋಗರೆಯುವ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಲಾಭವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಒಂದೆಡೆ ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರೆ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ಕೇವಲ ಕೆಲ ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಸಾಕೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ 1931ರಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೇ ದುಂಡುಮೇಜಿನ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಬ್ರಿಟನ್್ಗೆ ತೆರಳಲು ಮುಂದಾದ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಭಾರತೀಯರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವೆಸಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದನಿಸಿತು.

ಹಾಗಂತ ಸುಭಾಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಬೋಸ್ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರಂತೆ ಎಂದೂ ಸಣ್ಣತನ ತೋರಲಿಲ್ಲ!

ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಭೇದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಚಳವಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬರಲು ಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಜಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದರೆ ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಅವರ ಗುಣನಡತೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಸಣ್ಣತನಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಾನವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಖ್ಯಾತ ಅಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮ ಗುರು ಓಶೋ ರಜನೀಶ್ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಇಷ್ಟವಾದ ಸಂಗತಿಯೂ ಅದೇ. ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ಸುಭಾಷ್-ಗಾಂಧಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ-’I am reminded of a young man. His name was Subhash Chandra. He became a great revolutionary and I have tremendeous respect for him, because he was the only man in India who opposed Mahatma Gandhi; he could see that all this Mahatmahood is simply politics and nothing else’. ಅಂದಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ತ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನೇ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಸುಭಾಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಬೋಸ್ ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಬೇಡಿ. ಆ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಉನ್ನತ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬ್ರಿಟನ್್ಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬ್ಯಾರಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಆಗಿ ಕರಿಕೋಟಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರೂ ಬರಬಹುದಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ. ಐಸಿಎಸ್ (Indian Civil Service) ಪಾಸಾಗಲು ಹೆಚ್ಚೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ! ಪಾಸಾಗಲು ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರೇ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಪಾಸುಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕ ಸ್ಥಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಭಾರತೀಯರೇ ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆಂಬ ಭಯ ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರಿಗಿತ್ತು. ಇಂಥ ಅಡೆತಡೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ಐಸಿಎಸ್ ಪಾಸು ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೊದಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ರವೀಂದ್ರನಾಥ ಟಾಗೋರರ ಹಿರಿಯಣ್ಣ ಸತ್ಯೇಂದ್ರನಾಥ್ ಬೋಸ್! ಅದು 1863ರಲ್ಲಿ. ನಂತರ ಯಾರಿಂದಲೂ ICS ಪಾಸು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಂದಿಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಕ್ಷುಲ್ಲಕ ಕಾರಣ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ನಪಾಸು ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅಂಥ ಅರವಿಂದ ಘೋಷ್್ರನ್ನೇ ಫೇಲು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು, ಯಾಕೆ ಗೊತೆ?್ತ ಅರವಿಂದರು ಈ ದೇಶ ಕಂಡ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾನ್ವಿತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ICS ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಬ್ಜೆಕ್ಟ್್ಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಮೊದಲಿಗರಾಗಿ ಪಾಸಾದರು. ಇನ್ನೇನು ICS ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾದರು ಎನ್ನುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಕುದುರೆ ಸವಾರಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಫೇಲು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಕುದುರೆ ಸವಾರಿಗೂ ICS ಪಾಸಾಗಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಶಾಹಿಯಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಏನು ಸಂಬಂಧವೋ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಇಂತಹ ಅಡಚಣೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ಸುಭಾಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಬೋಸ್ ಐಈಖ ಮಾಡಲು ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್್ಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದರು. ಅಂತಿಮ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್್ಗೇ 4ನೇಯವರಾಗಿ ತೇರ್ಗಡೆಯಾದರು. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್್ರ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಯಾದ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಬೋಸ್ ಮೊದಲಿಗರಾಗಿ ಪಾಸಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರ ಯಾವ ತಂತ್ರಗಳೂ ಬೋಸ್ ICS ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗುವುದನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ICS ಮಾಡಿದವರು ವೃತ್ತಿಗೆ ತೆರಳುವ ಮೊದಲು ಗವರ್ನರ್ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕವಾದ ಒಂದು ಇಂಟರ್್ವ್ಯೂ ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆ ಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಓಶೋ ಬಹಳ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಈ ಬೆಂಗಾಲಿಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೇ ಹೋಗಲಿ, ಅದು ಮಳೆ, ಚಳಿ, ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾಲವಾಗಿರಲಿ ಬಗಲಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಕೊಡೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದೇ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹಾಗೇಕೆ ಎಂದೂ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಕೊಡೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕಾಯಂ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ತಲೆಗೆ ಹ್ಯಾಟ್ ಧರಿಸಿ ಗವರ್ನರ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಕಚೇರಿಗೆ ಕಾಲಿರಿಸಿದ ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಬಗಲಲ್ಲೂ ಕೊಡೆಯೊಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ! ಹಾಗೆ ಬಂದವರೇ ಕುರ್ಚಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸೀನರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೆಂಡಾಮಂಡಲರಾದ ಗವರ್ನರ್, “ನಿನಗೆ ಮ್ಯಾನರ್ಸೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ICS ಪಾಸು ಮಾಡಿದವನಾನು? ಎಂದು ಚೀರಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ!!

ಆಗ ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ-ಯಾವ ಮ್ಯಾನರ್ಸ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ ನೀವು?

ಗವರ್ನರ್ ಜನರಲ್-ಒಳಬಂದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಹ್ಯಾಟ್ ತೆಗೆದು ಗೌರವ ಸೂಚಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೆ? ಜತೆಗೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮೊದಲು ನನ್ನ ಅನುಮತಿ ಪಡೆದೆಯಾ?

ಬಗಲಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೊಡೆಯ ಕೊಕ್ಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗವರ್ನರ್ ಜನರಲ್್ನ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸುತ್ತಾ ಹಾಕಿದ ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ- “ನಡತೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ನೀನು ಮೊದಲು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೋ. ನಾನು ಒಳಬಂದಾಗ ನೀನು ಮೊದಲು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಲ್ಲಬೇಕಿತ್ತು. ಇಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ಅತಿಥಿ ನಾನೋ ನೀನೋ? ಹ್ಯಾಟು ತೆಗೆದು ಅತಿಥಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲು ನೀನು ಗೌರವ ಸೂಚಿಸಬೇಕಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ನೀನು ಆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದೆಯಾ? ಹಾಗಿರುವಾಗ ನಾನೇಕೆ ಹ್ಯಾಟು ತೆಗೆದು ಗೌರವ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಿ? ಇನ್ನು ನಾನು ಒಳಬಂದಾಗ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡೇ ಇದ್ದೆಯಲ್ಲ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಅನುಮತಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದೆಯಾ? ಅಂದಮೇಲೆ ನಾನೇಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಅನುಮತಿ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು? ನೀನು ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಂದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ICS” ನಿಂದ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ, ಆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನ್ನ ICS ಅನ್ನು ನಾನೇ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ”. ಹಾಗೆಂದು ಹೊರಬಂದರು.

ಅದು ಸುಭಾಷ್ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ!

1930ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಅಸಹಕಾರ ಚಳವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಧಿತರಾದ ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಅದೇ ವರ್ಷ ನಡೆದ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲ್ಕತ್ತಾದ ಮೇಯರ್ ಆಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದರು. ನಂತರವೂ ಬಂಧನ ತಪ್ಪಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ತೀವ್ರ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದ ಬೋಸರಿಗೆ ಟಿಬಿ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಿತು. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಿಜರ್್ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್್ಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಶಿಫಾರಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಒಂದು ಕಡೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೆಪದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೊರದಬ್ಬಿದರೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ತಲೆನೋವು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರು ಭಾವಿಸಿದರೆ ಇನ್ನೊಂದೆಡೆ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೊರಹೋದರೆ ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರ ಅಡ್ಡಿ ಆತಂಕಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ತೀವ್ರಗೊಳಿಸಬಹುದೆಂದು ಬೋಸ್ ಭಾವಿಸಿದರು. 1933, ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 23ರಂದು ಯುರೋಪ್್ನತ್ತ ಪಯಣ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ ಬೋಸ್, 36ರವರೆಗೂ ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ್ದು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದರು. ಜತೆಗೆ ಯುರೋಪ್್ನ ಸಮಾಜವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾರತದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಚಳವಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಕೋರಿದರು. ಇಟಲಿಯ ಸರ್ವಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಬೆನೆಟ್ ಮುಸೋಲಿನಿಯನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಂತರ ವಿಯೆನ್ನಾವನ್ನೇ ತಮ್ಮ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. 1936, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 27ರಂದು ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಬೋಸರನ್ನು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷ ಸುಮ್ಮನಿದ್ದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊರಬಂದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಕಲ್ಕತ್ತಾದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು. ಆ ವೇಳೆಗಾಗಲೇ ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಗಾಂಧಿ ನಡುವಿನ ಸಂಘರ್ಷ ತಣ್ಣಗಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಜತೆಗೆ ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಹೆಸರು ದೇಶಕ್ಕೇ ಪರಿಚಿತವಾಗಿತ್ತು. 1938ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಲು ಬೋಸ್ ಮುಂದಾದರು. ಆ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಕೈಗೊಂಡರು. ಸದಾ ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರ ಕಣ್ಗಾವಲಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಬೋಸರದ್ದು ದಿಟ್ಟ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ಪ್ರವಾಸದ ವೇಳೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ ಭಾರತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮೃದು ನಿಲುವು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಲೇಬರ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಚಿಂತಕರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಯಾಚಿಸಿದರು. ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳಿದ ಬೋಸ್ 1938ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರೂ ಆದರು.

ಎಲ್ಲರ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲೂ ಬೋಸ್ ಬೋಸ್, ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಎದೆ ಡುಸ್!

1939ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನರಾಯ್ಕೆ ಬಯಸಿದ ಬೋಸರನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಲು ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಮುಂದಾದರು. ಆದರೆ, ಬೋಸರನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುವ ತಾಕತ್ತು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಸ್ವತಃ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಿದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಸಣ್ಣ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ಭಯ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಗೆ. ಆ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಡಾ. ಪಟ್ಟಾಭಿ ಸೀತಾರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ತಮ್ಮ ಚೇಲಾರನ್ನು ಉಮೇದುದಾರರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ, “ಪಟ್ಟಾಭಿ ಸೋಲು ನನ್ನ ಸೋಲು’ ಎಂದರು. ಆದರೆ, ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತವಕಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯುವ ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳು ಬೋಸ್್ರ ಬೆಂಬಲಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಂತ ಕಾರಣ ಪಟ್ಟಾಭಿ ಸೀತಾರಾಮಯ್ಯನವರು ಸೋತು ಬೋಸ್ ವಿಜಯಿಯಾದರು. ಅವತ್ತು I am beyond love and hate. I am beyond anger, violence’ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ನಿಜರೂಪ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂತು. ಸುಭಾಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಬೋಸರನ್ನು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರೆಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸುವ ಸಮಾರಂಭಕ್ಕೇ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೇನಂತೆ ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅನ್ನೇ ಬಣಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಒಡೆಯಲು ಮುಂದಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಗಳಿಸುವುದಷ್ಟೇ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಏಕಮಾತ್ರ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಪಕ್ಷ-ಚಳವಳಿ ಒಡೆಯಬಾರದು ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೇ ಬೋಸ್ ರಾಜಿನಾಮೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, 1941, ಜನವರಿ 19ರಂದು ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರ ಕಣ್ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಜರ್ಮನಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಪಾನ್್ಗೆ ತೆರಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ದೇಶದಿಂದಲೇ ಹೊರನಡೆದರು. Just imagine, ಮುಸೊಲಿನಿ, ಹಿಟ್ಲರ್್ರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗುವುದೆಂದರೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಮಾತೇ? ಅದೂ ಯಾವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ, ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ, ಪ್ರಭುವಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೇವಲ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ನೇತಾರನಾಗಿ?!

ಆ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಆಝಾದ್ ಹಿಂದ್ ಫೌಜ್ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ಬಂದೂಕಿನಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಮುಂದಾದರು. ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿರಲಿ, 1943ರಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತಿ ಪಡೆದ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಮೊಟ್ಟಮೊದಲ ಭಾಗಗಳೆಂದರೆ ಅಂಡಮಾನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿಕೋಬಾರ್ ದ್ವೀಪಗಳು. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದುಕೊಂಡ ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಹೀದ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಸ್ಯಮುಕ್ತ ಆಡಳಿತ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. Give me blood, I Promise you Fredom ಎಂದು ರೇಡಿಯೋ ಮೂಲಕ ದೇಶವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೂ ಅದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ. ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಆಗಲಿ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗುವುದು ಹೇಡಿಗಳಿಂದಲ್ಲ, ಸುಭಾಷ್್ರಂಥ ವೀರಕಲಿಗಳಿಂದ. ನಿಮಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಒಂದು ಅಂಶ ಗೊತ್ತಿರಲಿ, ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದೊರೆಕಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ (1945ರಿಂದ 51) ಬ್ರಿಟನ್್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದು ಲೇಬರ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಿದ್ದು ಕ್ಲಿಮೆಂಟ್ ಅಟ್ಲಿ. ಅವತ್ತು ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಕೊಡುವ ವಿಧೇಯಕವನ್ನು ಅಟ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಿಟನ್ ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟಾಗ ವಿನ್್ಸ್ಟನ್ ಚರ್ಚಿಲ್ ಖಡಾಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ, ಅಟ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯಾಗಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದೊರಕುವುದು ಇನ್ನೂ ವಿಳಂಬವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಅಂದು ಅಟ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಲವು ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದರ ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಒಂದು ಕಾರಣವಿದೆ. 1938ರಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಿಟನ್ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಗ ಲೇಬರ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನೇತಾರರಾದ ಕ್ಲಿಮೆಂಟ್ ಅಟ್ಲಿ, ಅರ್ಥರ್ ಗ್ರೀನ್್ವುಡ್, ಹೆರಾಲ್ಡ್ ಲಾಸ್ಕಿ, ಜಿಡಿಎಸ್ ಕೋಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ ಸ್ಟಾಫೋರ್ಡ್ ಕ್ರಿಪ್ಸ್ ಮುಂತಾದವರಿಗೆ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಏಕೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮನವರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇ ಸುಭಾಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಬೋಸ್! ಅದು 1947ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ನೆರವಿಗೆ ಬಂತು.

ಅಂತಹ ಗಂಡುಮಗನ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವಿದು.

1897, ಜನವರಿ 23ರಂದು ಜನಿಸಿದ ಸುಭಾಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಬೋಸ್ ಇವತ್ತು 115ನೇ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಇಂದು ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನ, ಹೋರಾಟ ಮನೋಭಾವನೆ ತುಂಬಿದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮರೆಯಲಾದೀತೆ? ಈ ದೇಶ ಎಷ್ಟೋ “ನೇತಾ’ಗಳನ್ನು (ನೇತಾರರು) ಕಂಡಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, “ನೇತಾಜಿ’ (ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಭಾಜನರಾದ ನೇತಾರ) ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವರೊಬ್ಬರೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ?

    I was not aware of most of the facts you shared about Subhas Chandra Bhose here, no doubt this is a great article! Appreciate your work here, Subhas Chandra Bhose is the REAL HERO of India.

    However I had researched a lot on Gandhi and used to literally hate him for the politics he initiated in India.

    “’I am reminded of a young man. His name was Subhash Chandra. He became a great revolutionary and I have tremendeous respect for him, because he was the only man in India who opposed Mahatma Gandhi; he could see that all this Mahatmahood is simply politics and nothing else’.

    No doubt in the vision & capabilities of Osho, he is a GEM. It would be great if you could write a eye-opening article on Gandhi. Most of the people do not dare to write true-facts about him. I know if you write aboth the truths of Gandhi, you would be criticized / blamed a lot. Just would say only a LION can ROAR, you have in it you. All the best!

    The history taught in school and collrges is one sided.More light should be thrown on the role of revolutionaries like Savarkar,madanlal dingra,rasbihari ghosh, subhaschandra bose and many other freedom fighters,other than belonging to congress party.
