An appeal to my readers
My beloved readers, when I took the most powerful head on, when I continued to write against Islamic terrorism despite some elements of muslim community openly threatened me to kill, when I continued the war against religious conversion, you all stood by me, enouraged me, loved me like never before. You all know, I had… put my life into risk and wrote my column week after week for 11 long years. In this 11 years, I was virtually fired from job atleast 6 times, I was subjected to abusive utterances, But my mentor Vish Bhat was my savior all along. Now I am fighting a personal battle against RB, who is belittling all of us in his toilet tissue paper. Guyz, please don’t advise me keep quiet or ingone. It is a good move. He has been malignning against you and VB. But be careful and cautious in this battle. He may project it as a vicious battle against him and turn the public opinion towards him. Also if you use ur website extensively, public may think that u r using it fr ur personal reasons. So it would be really wise to trap him with logical points and prove objectively that he is wrong rather than rediculing him.

I think many people know about RB. We really had a bad experience with him when we try to expose the scandals of our community Hostel during College days. We wrote all the karma kanda of our hostel and forwarded to him thining that he will investigate and expose it more. Instead, he forwarded the same to our hostel management, took huge sum and was responsible for suspending many students from the hostel.
I would like to support your war against him. However, keep it in my that when you start showing the finger at each other, it never stops. So take care and do not drag too much yourself in to it. Every Individual has his own fashion. You have been named for distinctive cultured Journalism. The cunning persons who could not evolve positively would naturally envy your name and fame.

ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೂ ಸಹಾ ಹಾಯ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಎಂದು ಬರುವುದೋ ಎಂದು ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದವನು. ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಕ್ರೈಮ್-ಸ್ಟೋರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಉಳಿದ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಿಕ ರೂಪದ ಆತ್ಮಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಇಷ್ಟ ಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ನಂಬಬಹುದೆ? ಎಂಬ ಅಚ್ಚರಿಯೊಡನೆ ಅವನ ಖಾಸ್ಬಾತ್ ಬರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಭೇಶ್ ಎಂದಿದ್ದೆ.
ಇವನ ಕಿಡಿಗೇಡಿತನದ ಮೊದಲ ಪರಿಚಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಉದಯ ಟೀವಿಯ ಸಭ್ಯ ನಿರೂಪಕಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅವಹೇಳನಕರ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದಾಗ. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮೊದಲು ಸಹ ನಿರೂಪಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ಸವರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ನಂತರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ನಿರೂಪಕಿಯ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ಸವರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದ. ಇದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನೊಂದುಕೊಂಡು ಸಭ್ಯ ನಿರೂಪಕಿಯ ಗಂಡ, ಈ ಸಂಪಾದಕನನ್ನು ಫೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದಬಾಯಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೀನಾಯ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಅಂಕಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜರೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿದ.
ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೇ ಪುಸ್ತಕವೊಂದು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾದಾಗ ಇವನ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಲಘುವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳಿರುವ ಲೇಖನ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿದೆಯೆಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಆ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಂಪಾದಕರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕೀಳು ಮಟ್ಟದ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಕೇಳಿ’ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೋತ್ತರಗಳನ್ನು ಈತನೇ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದ.
ಇವನು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಂಡಿರದ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಸಾಹಿತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಸಾಹಿತಿ ಮದ್ಯದ ಅಮಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಮನೆಯವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಾಳಜಿಯಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಕೋಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಮಗನೇ ಆ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕವಾಗಿ ಚಪ್ಪಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೆಟ್ಟು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದ. ಆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮನನೊಂದ ಸಾಹಿತಿಯ ಮಗ ಕಚೇರಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಸಮಜಾಯಿಶಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ, ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೀನಾಯವಾದ ಲೇಖನಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದ.
ಇನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಣಿ ಪ್ರಸಂಗ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿಷಯ. ಮಾಲಾಶ್ರೀ-ರಾಮು ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಕಲ್ಲು ಹಾಕಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ ವಿಷಯವೂ ಜಗಜ್ಜಾಹೀರು. ಉಳಿದಂತೆ ಪರವಾನಗಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಸ್ತೂಲಿನಿಂದ ಗುಂಡು ಹಾರಿಸಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದದ್ದು ತಿಳಿದ ಸಂಗತಿ. ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇವನ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಅನೇಕ ದೂರುಗಳು ದಾಖಲಾಗಿ, ರಿಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರೇಷನ್ ರದ್ದಾಗುವ ಸಮಯ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರಿವರ ಕಾಲು ಹಿಡಿದು, ಸರಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಾರದು.
ಇವನು ದುಡ್ಡು ಮಾಡಿರುವುದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಪೋಲಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಿಂದ. ಖುಷವಂತ ಸಿಂಗ್, ಶೋಭಾ ಡೇ, ಪ್ರೋತಿಮಾ ಬೇಡಿ ಮುಂತಾದವರ ಪುಸ್ತ್ಕಗಳಿಗೆ ಇವನದೇ ಹಸಿಬಿಸಿ ಕಥನಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿ, ಕಳ್ಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಅಚ್ಚು ಹಾಕಿಸಿದ್ದು ಇತಿಹಾಸ. ಹಿಂದೆ ಈತ ರತಿವಿಜ್ಞಾನ, ಸುರತಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅನುಭವ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಉಳಿದಂತೆ ಸಂಜಯಗಾಂಧಿ, ರಾಜೀವಗಾಂಧಿ, ಲಾಲುಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳ ಕರ್ಮಕಾಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂಟರ್ನೆಟ್ನಿಂದ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಹಾರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಕತೆಗಳು. ಯುದ್ಧದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಈತ ಬೂಸಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ. ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಈತ ಕಾರ್ಗಿಲ್ಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ವರದಿ ಬರೆದನೆ? ಎಂದು ಅನುಮಾನ ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆ. ಹರಪ್ಪನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಹ್ಯನೋವರ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ, ಕಗ್ಗಲೀಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಡಿ ಸೇದಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಾರ್ಗಿಲ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ, ಅನ್ನಸಂದ್ರಪಾಳ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳ್ಳ ಭಟ್ಟಿ ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಆಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ಥಾನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪುಟಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಬರೆಯುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಈತ ನಿಸ್ಸೀಮ.
ನಾನು ಸಿಗರೇಟು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದ ದಿನವೇ ಪ್ಯಾಕುಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಸಿಗರೇಟು ಸೇದಿದ, ಮದ್ಯ ಸೇವಿಸುದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟೆ ಕಣ್ರೀ ಎಂದ ವಾರವೇ ಬಾಟಲಿಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಬಾಟಮ್ಸ್ ಅಪ್ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಲ್ಪನಿಗೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ಬಂದರೆ ಅರ್ಧರಾತ್ರಿಯೇ ಕೊಡೆ ಹಿಡಿಯುವರಂತೆ. ಈತ ದುಡ್ಡು ಕೈ ಸೇರಿದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ದುರಭ್ಯಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ, ವಿಪರೀತ ಆಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿದ, ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕೆಟ್ಟದಾಗಿ ಬೆಳಸಿದ, ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಮರ್ಯಾದೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅಪಾಪೋಲಿಯಂತೆ ವರ್ತಿಸಿದ. ಹಣಮದದಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನವರನ್ನು ಕೀಳಾಗಿ ಕಂಡ.
ಆ ಸೀತಾನದಿ ಸುರೇಂದ್ರ ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಲು ಬದುಕಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ವಮ್ಮ್ಯ ಲಲಿತವ್ವ ಇಂಥ ದರಿದ್ರ ಕಾಡುಮೃಗವನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಳೋ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇವನ ಕುಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡೂ ತೆಪ್ಪಗಿರುವ ಬೆಳಗೆರೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳ ಪರಿಯೇ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.
ತನಗೆ ನೆರವಾದವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ದೂರೀಕರಿಸಿ, ಸಿಕ್ಕಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ದುಡ್ಡು ಬಾಚಿಕೊಂಡು, ಢೋಂಗಿ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಇವನಿಗೆ ನಾವ್ಯಾರೂ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಬಾರದು. ಅವನ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಕೊಂಡು ಓದುವವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿ ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯ ಚಟದಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಅವನ ನಿಜ ಬಣ್ಣವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆಳೆಯಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೆಂಬಲಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
