Yes, it is true. Now a days politics is running with money and Goondas. I feel pitty beacause why this is more in India. Politics is a word which is giving many meaning to the people. Let us wait where indian politics takes us.

Today to win a Panchayat election, one need to spend minimum 50k – 1,00,000-/- As people are getting more educate why this still exists. By the wat it is getting more and more.

The article was very informative. I was not knowing the origin of Panchayat election. The writer, who used to speak about integrity , now- a-days appreciating positive aspects of the people in the society. That shows as a writer you have become more matured.

As par as I know Panchayat presidents or members hardly make money through what position they acquired. By selling their agriculture land, they might be satisfying their need for power or their need for social recognition. Money sanctioned for the work till it reaches Panchayat level, it will be very less and villagers will be knowing for what work money sanctioned. So the chances of money getting misused is rare and if it get misuused also it won’t be huge amount.

iam ashwini.P from dharwad . i really like your articles very much. in 2001, i think u started to write a article in vijaya karnataka news paper. iam reading your articles since that year when u started to write. iam huge big fan of u. i know u have lots of fans.but still add me as your one of the fan. n about your articles its really fantastic to read always your articles. after reading your every single article i always used to say “Yes iam really agree with this what he write”. i can’t comment or i can’t be Describe about your article Because iam not so much Intelligent to describe your articles. but really i pray to god by heart that u never n never stop to writing, it should be continue for long n long.

thank u sir 4 such a informative article………….actually i do stydy pud administration subject, in that grama panchayay topic is also there .till now i was just knowing about the book matter.but after reading this article i got know much about history of grama panchayat……….thanks a lot 4 this article…..now i can search still more information grama panchayat………………………………………………….keep writting simha sir
