i dont agree this time pratap… fedex in the greatest player on tennis arena at present.. he has 15 grandslams now.. wat do u say..?? he can even beat nadal for sure.. watch out for ROGER FEDERER….. the lagend…

I disagree with pratap’s opinion. My vote goes to Federer over Sampras.
Sampras may be better than Federer in some aspects but when it comes to consistency, no. of championships, attitude towards game…… makes me to vote for him. 15 Grand Slam singles titles(more than any other player), more than 200 weeks in NO1 position etc…etc… Article comments are likely to be pratap’s opinion, comments are such that Federer is picking and playing against whom he can win !!. To be frank i love to watch pete, hewitt,roddick & Nadal than roger, still i vote for him bcz, fact cannot be changed as per our wish.

Hi Pratap,
This is the first time I’ve read your article on Web, all these days I used to follow in Vijaya Karnataka. I’m very glad now that I’ve the opportunity to comment on it.
Coming to the topic,
If the world is given any chance to vote for a “All time Men’s Greatest tennis professional” then surely Federer will be the outright winner. If you can recollect Federer path to success has not been rosy. In his 19s – 20s he has battled against the energetic Hewitt, Roddick, Nalbandian so on .. who were also in their early 20s and as good as him. The only thing that kept Federer going is his focus on the game and constant attempt to improve it. If you compare Federer’s serve when he won his first wimbledon and the serve in the current wimbledon you can observe how much it has improved. Earlier he used to win because of his exceptional groundstrokes but now he wins because every stroke from his racquet is a master stroke.
Just notice, this is his 21st consecutive semifinal in Grand slams, that means has never withdrawn from any grandslam in last five years. No player in history might have played so much tennis he has played for so many years in succession without skipping grand slams.
And also when he won his first wimbledon, he had beaten Pete Sampras in Quarterfinals and the Big Serving Philiphousis in the finals.

Hi Pratap, Hope you are doing well.
I am not convinced with this article.
It may be your view but not definately mine.
I believe for our generation Federer is the Hero after Sampras……Borg, Lendl and Mcnore are great but it wont take greatness of Fedrer.
This is what i beleive.
You have written how he lost to Nadal and cried but you didnt mention how he won continuously against Nadal and how nadal Felt at htat time ,. It was the same case as Agassi and Sampras…. As Nadal once said that iam in wrong era of Federer. wE Need to see other side of the story also.

Bt i do think Roger Federer is also a great player… Yes challenges for him r quite lesser …
