ವರುಣ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ‘ಡ್ರಾಮಾ’ ಅನ್ನುವುದಾದರೆ, ‘Sick’ಯುಲರ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನು?

“ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಎತ್ತಿದರೆ, ಹಿಂದೂಗಳು ದುರ್ಬಲರು, ನಾಯಕರೇ ಇಲ್ಲದವರು, ಅವರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಎಣಿಸಿದರೆ, ಹಿಂದೂಗಳತ್ತ ಬೆರಳೆತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ, ಭಗವದ್ಗೀತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ವರುಣ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಆ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಈ ಕೈ…ತಾವರೆಯ ಕೈ!ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನವಾಗದಂತೆ ತಡೆಯಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಒಂದಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ. ಹಿಂದೂಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಒಂದೆಡೆ ನಿಂತು ಉಳಿದವರನ್ನು ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳಿ. ಈ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಕರೀಮುಲ್ಲಾ, ಮಝರುಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಂತಾದ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು ಎಷ್ಟು  ಭಯಾನಕವಾಗಿವೆಯೆಂದರೆ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರೇನಾದರೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಎದುರಾದರೆ ಹೆದರಿ ನಡುಗಿಹೋಗುತ್ತೀರಿ. ನನಗೊಬ್ಬಳು ಸಹೋದರಿಯಿದ್ದಾಳೆ, ಅಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರವಿರುವ ಕರಪತ್ರವಿತ್ತು. ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಆ ಮಗು, ‘ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಸಾಮಾ ಬಿನ್ ಲಾಡೆನ್ ಏನಾದರೂ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾನಾ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿತು! ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದೆ-ಒಸಾಮಾವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಅಮೆರಿಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದೇ ಹೋಗಿರಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಂತರ ವರುಣ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಬಹಳ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ”.

ನೀವು ಕಳೆದ 15 ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಿಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವರುಣ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಭಾಷಣದ ಒಟ್ಟು ಸಾರಾಂಶವಿಷ್ಟೇ.

ಇತ್ತ ವರುಣ್ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರು, ನಾನು ಯಾವ ಧರ್ಮದ ವಿರುದ್ಧವೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಲ್ಲ, ಸಿಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಪಾಡು ಮಾಡಲಾ ಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಖಡಾಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೂ ಯಾವ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳೂ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. “Hate Speech” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಲೇ, ತೀರ್ಪು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಇವೆ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ, ವರುಣ್ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರು ಅಂತಹ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದೇ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡರೂ, ಅದನ್ನು ‘ದ್ವೇಷಕಾರುವ ಭಾಷಣ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಅಂತಹ ಯಾವ ಅಂಶಗಳು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿವೆ?

‘ಈ ಕೈ, ಕಮಲದ ಕೈ’ ಎಂದರೆ ನನ್ನದು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಸಿನ ‘ಹಸ್ತ’ವಲ್ಲ, ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಚಿಹ್ನೆ ತಾವರೆಯದ್ದು ಎಂದು. ಇನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಹೇಳಿ, ಈ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನವಾಗದಂತೆ ತಡೆಯಲು ಹಿಂದೂಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಒಂದಾಗಬೇಕು, ಉಳಿದವರನ್ನು ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳಬೇಕು’ ಎನ್ನುವ ಮಾತನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ವರುಣ್ ಸುಖಾಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಲ್ಲ. ಪಿಲಿಭಿತ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ನೇಪಾಳದ ಗಡಿಗೆ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ನೇಪಾಳದ ಏಕೈಕ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಸಂಸದರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮಿರ್ಜಾ ದಿಲ್‌ಶಾದ್ ಬೇಗ್ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿರಬಹುದು. ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ಈತನನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನೇಪಾಳದ ಮೂಲಕ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ನಕಲಿ ನೋಟು ಹಾಗೂ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ರವಾನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಜತೆಗೆ ಮಿರ್ಜಾ ಬೇಗ್, ದಾವೂದ್ ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಮ್‌ನ ಬಂಟನಾಗಿದ್ದ. ಇಂತಹ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು 1998ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಭೂಗತ ದೊರೆ ಛೋಟಾ ರಾಜನ್ ಕಡೆಯವರು ಹಾಡಹಗಲೇ ಕೊಲೆಗೈದರಾದರೂ ಆ ವೇಳೆಗಾಗಲೇ ಪಿಲಿಭಿತ್ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಭಟ್ಕಳ, ಮಲ್ಲಪುರಂನಂತಾಗುವತ್ತ ಸಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇವತ್ತು ಪಿಲಿಭಿತ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾನೂನುಬಾಹಿರ ಗೋ ಸಾಗಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಹತ್ಯೆ ಸರ್ವೇಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಿಂದೂಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರಗಳೂ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ, ನಕಲಿ ನೋಟುಗಳು ಚಲಾವಣೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮುಲಾಯಂ, ಮಾಯಾವತಿ  ಅಧಿಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರೆಗೂ ಇಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಅಡ್ಡಿಯೂ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಪಿಲಿಭಿತ್ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನವಾಗದಂತೆ ತಡೆಯಲು ಹಿಂದೂಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಒಂದಾಗಿ, ‘ಉಳಿದವರನ್ನು’ ಅಂದರೆ ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳಿ ಎಂದು ವರುಣ್ ಹೇಳಿ ರುವುದು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪೇನಿದೆ? ಆತ ಯಾವ ಧರ್ಮದ ಹೆಸರನ್ನೂ ಎತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಕುಂಬಳಕಾಯಿ ಕಳ್ಳರಂತೆ ವರ್ತಿ ಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದೇಕೆ? ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹ ಎಂದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರು ಎಂದೇ ಏಕೆ ಭಾವಿಸಬೇಕು? ‘ಉಳಿದವರನ್ನು’ ಎಂದಾಗ ಕ್ರೈಸ್ತರು, ಸಿಖ್ಖರು, ಜೈನರು ತಮಗೇ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಏಕೆ ಭಾವಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ?!

ಇನ್ನು ಕರೀಮುಲ್ಲಾ, ಮಝರುಲ್ಲಾ ಯಾರು?

ಇವರೇನು ಭಗತ್ ಸಿಂಗ್, ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಆಜಾದ್, ಸುಭಾಷ್ ಚಂದ್ರ ಬೋಸ್ ಅವರ ಅವತಾರ ಪುರುಷರೇನು? ಕರೀಮುಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಝರುಲ್ಲಾ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಬಾಂಬೆ ಬಾಂಬ್ ಸ್ಫೋಟದ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು. 1993ರ ಸ್ಫೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಆರ್‌ಡಿಎಕ್ಸ್ ಪೂರೈಸಿದ ಆರೋಪ ಕರೀಮುಲ್ಲಾನ ಮೇಲಿದೆ. 15 ವರ್ಷ ತಲೆಮರೆಸಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಕರೀಮುಲ್ಲಾ 2006ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂಬ ಸುಳಿವು ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು, ಆದರೆ ಆತ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. 2008, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 22ರಂದು ಕರೀಮುಲ್ಲಾ ಖಾನ್‌ನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮುಲ್ಲಾ ಉಮರ್‌ನ ಹೆಸರು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಅಮೆರಿಕ ಹೆದರುತ್ತದೋ, ಕರೀಮುಲ್ಲಾ, ಮಝರುಲ್ಲಾ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು ಭಾರತೀಯರಿಗೂ ಹಾಗೇ ನಡುಕವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿದೆಯೇ?

ಈಗ ಕರಪತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಒಸಾಮಾ ಬಿನ್ ಲಾಡೆನ್ ವಿಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರೋಣ. ಲಾಡೆನ್‌ನ ತದ್ರೂಪಿಯಂತಿರುವ (Look-alike) ಮೌಲಾನಾ ಮೆರಾಜ್ ಖಾಲಿದ್ ನೂರ್‌ನನ್ನು ೨೦೦೫ರ ಬಿಹಾರ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ವೇಳೆ ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಆರ್‌ಜೆಡಿಯ ಲಾಲು, ನಂತರ ಲೋಕಜನಶಕ್ತಿ ಪಕ್ಷದ ರಾಮ್‌ವಿಲಾಸ್ ಪಾಸ್ವಾನ್ ಅವರು ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಮೊಹಲ್ಲಾಗಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದು ಮತ ಯಾಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಸುಳ್ಳಾ? ಲಾಡೆನ್ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ ಕೇಳುವಂತಹ ಪರಿ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಯಾರಿಂದ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಯಿತು? ಇನ್ನು ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಮಾಡಿದವರ ಕೈಕತ್ತರಿಸುವ, ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದವರನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕಲ್ಲುಹೊಡೆದು ಸಾಯಿಸುವ ಪದ್ಧತಿಗಳು ಕಟ್ಟಾ ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಿಕ್ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ಜಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ, ಹಾಗಿರುವಾಗ ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳ, ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರಿಗಳ ಕೈ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ವರುಣ್ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಾಗುತ್ತದೆ?

ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಇಬ್ಬಂದಿ ನಿಲುವು ಇಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೇ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

ವರುಣ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಪಿಲಿಭಿತ್‌ಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 6 ಮತ್ತು 7ರಂದು. ಆತ ಮಾಡಿದ ಭಾಷಣದ ಸಿಡಿ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 17ರಂದು. ಈ ನಡುವಿನ 11 ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಸಿಡಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು? ಅಥವಾ ಮಾರ್ಪಾಡಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತೇ?! ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆ ಹಿಡಿದಿರುವುದೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಯಾವ ಮಾರ್ಪಾಡನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡದೇ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಮರುದಿನವೇ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಡಬಹುದಿತ್ತಲ್ಲವೆ? ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ದಿನಗಳ ನಂತರವಾ ದರೂ ಆಯೋಗಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಡಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾದರೂ ಏಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೇಗೆ? ಜತೆಗೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದ್ವೇಷಕಾರುವ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಸುವ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲೇ ಸಿಡಿಯ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಚಿತ್ರಣ ಕಳಪೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದೇಕೆ? ಧ್ವನಿ ಅಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದಾದರೂ ಯಾವ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ? ಇವಿಷ್ಟೇ ಅಂಶಗಳು ಸಾಕು ಸಿಡಿಯ ಸಾಚಾತನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅನುಮಾನ ಪಡಲು. ಆದರೂ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ೧೮ರಂದು ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ವರುಣ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಎಫ್‌ಐಆರ್ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗ, ವಿವರಣೆ ಕೇಳಿ ನೋಟೀಸ್ ಕೂಡ ಜಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿತು. ವರುಣ್,  ಈ ಮೇಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲ ಹುಳುಕುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಬೊಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಕೆಲವು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಿಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಪಾಡು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸಿ ಆಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ವಿವರಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಇಷ್ಟಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಿಡಿಯನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ಮೂವರು ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯುಕ್ತರು, ವರುಣ್ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ನಿಂದನಾತ್ಮಕ ಭಾಷಣ, ಆತ ದೋಷಿಯೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿಯೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟರು! ಆತನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಣಕ್ಕಿಳಿಸದಂತೆ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಾದವನ್ನೂ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಆಯುಕ್ತರು ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡ ರೀತಿ ಸರಿಯೇ? ವರುಣ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಇರುವ ಏಕೈಕ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯವೆಂದರೆ ಸಿಡಿ. ಆ ಸಿಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಪಾಡು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವರುಣ್ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿಯೇ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಸೂಕ್ತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೊಳಪಡಿಸಿ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದು ಆಯೋಗದ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ. ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಎರಡೇ ದಿನಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಬರೀ ಸಿಡಿ ನೋಡಿ ದೋಷಿ ಎಂದಿದ್ದು ಯಾವ ನ್ಯಾಯ? ನೀವೇ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ… ಎಷ್ಟು ಜನರ ಮೊಬೈಲ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ತಾರೆಗಳ Fake  ಎಮ್ಮೆಮ್ಮೆಸ್‌ಗಳಿಲ್ಲ? ತೃಷಾ, ಕರೀನಾ ಕಪೂರ್, ರಿಯಾ ಸೇನ್ ಮುಂತಾದವರ ನಕಲಿ ಎಮ್ಮೆಮ್ಮೆಸ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಜನ ನೋಡಿಲ್ಲ?! ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಗೋಪಾಲಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಖುರೇಷಿ, ಚಾವ್ಲಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು ತೃಷಾ, ಕರೀನಾ, ರಿಯಾ ಅವರೇ ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ಯಾವ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ!! ವರುಣ್ ಸಿಡಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅವರು ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡ ರೀತಿ  ಖಂಡಿತ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇದೆ.

“Varun’s arrest drama in Pilibhit”, “How the hate speech drama will play out in Pilibhit”, “The Hate speech drama played out”, “Varun’s arrest is a melodrama”. ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ೨೮ರಂದು ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮುಂದೆ ವರುಣ್ ಶರಣಾಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು  ಇಂತಹ ಹತ್ತಾರು ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಗಳಡಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ಚಾನೆಲ್‌ಗಳೂ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರ ಮಾಡಿದವು. ವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸಾರ ಮಾಡುವ ಯಾವುದೇ ಚಾನೆಲ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು “ಸುದ್ದಿ” ಚಾನೆಲ್‌ಗಳೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸುದ್ದಿ ಚಾನೆಲ್‌ಗಳು ಖಂಡಿತ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಬಹುದು, ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಯಥಾವತ್ತಾಗಿ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಅಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ವರದಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಎಂದರೆ “Dissemination of news”. ಆದರೆ ವರುಣ್ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮುಂದೆ ಶರಣಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಮೊದಲೇ, ಸುದ್ದಿ ಘಟಿಸುವ ಮುಂಚೆಯೇ ಎಲ್ಲ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಚಾನೆಲ್‌ಗಳೂ “Arrest Drama” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದೇಕೆ? ಅದಿರಲಿ, ವರುಣ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ‘ನಾಟಕ’ವಾ?! ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 18ರಂದು ವರುಣ್‌ಗೆ ನೋಟೀಸ್ ನೀಡಿದ ಆಯೋಗ ಎಫ್‌ಐಆರ್ ಕೂಡ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ವರುಣ್ ದಿಲ್ಲಿ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನಿಂದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಣಾ ಜಾಮೀನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಈ ಮಧ್ಯೆ, ಅಲಹಾಬಾದ್ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮೊರೆ ಹೋದ ವರುಣ್, ತನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ಎಫ್‌ಐಆರ್ ಅನ್ನು ಬರ್ಖಾಸ್ತು ಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆದರೆ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ೨೫ರಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದ ಅಲಹಾಬಾದ್ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್, ಎಫ್‌ಐಆರ್ ಅನ್ನು ಬರ್ಖಾಸ್ತು ಗೊಳಿಸಲು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿತು. ಆಗ ವರುಣ್ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನ ಮೊರೆ ಹೋಗಬಹುದಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಕೂಡ ಮನವಿಯನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕಿದ್ದರೆ?! ವರುಣ್‌ಗೆ ಮುಖಭಂಗವೂ ಆಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು, ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕೂ ಒಳಗಾಗಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಇಂತಹ ಅಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಮೈಗೆಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ಭಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಚಾಣಾಕ್ಷತೆಯಿಂದ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮುಂದೆ ಶರಣಾಗಲು ವರುಣ್ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು. ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಣಾ ಜಾಮೀನು ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 27ಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಗಿಯಿತು, ವರುಣ್ ೨೮ರಂದು ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮುಂದೆ ಶರಣಾಗಲು ಬಂದರು. ಅದು ‘ಡ್ರಾಮಾ’ ಹೇಗಾಗು ತ್ತದೆ? ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಅಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿದ್ಯೆಯನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಯೋ ಗಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ವರುಣ್ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆ ತೋರಿ, ಮತಗಳ ಧ್ರುವೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದು ಖಂಡಿತ ನಿಜ. ಆದರೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಯನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದನ್ನು ‘ಡ್ರಾಮಾ’ ಎನ್ನುವುದಾದರೆ, ಮಾಯಾವತಿಯವರು ವರುಣ್ ಮೇಲೆ ‘ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಕಾಯಿದೆ’ಯನ್ನು(NSA)ಹೇರಿದ್ದು ‘ಡ್ರಾಮಾ’ ಅಲ್ಲವೆ?

ನೀವೇ ಕೂಲಂಕಷವಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿ…

ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ ಮತಗಳು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ‘ಬ್ಲ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಚೆಕ್’ನಂತಿದ್ದವು. ಆದರೆ ಕಳೆದ ಹತ್ತು, ಹದಿನೈದು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರ ಮತಗಳು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಸಿನ ಕೈತಪ್ಪಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿವೆ. ಬಿಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಲು-ಪಾಸ್ವಾನ್, ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಲಾಯಂ, ಆಂಧ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯ್ಡು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವೇಗೌಡ, ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶರದ್ ಪವಾರ್, ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರುಣಾನಿಧಿ-ಹೀಗೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಮತಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಕ್ಕು ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸುವವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದೆ, ಅದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನೆಲಕಚ್ಚಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಸಾಚಾರ್ ಸಮಿತಿ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್, ಮತ್ತೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರ ಮನವೊಲಿಕೆಗೆ ಯತ್ನಿಸಿತು, ಮನಮೋಹನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಅವರಂತೂ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯಂದು ಕೆಂಪು ಕೋಟೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತು “ದೇಶದ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರೇ ಮೊದಲ ಹಕ್ಕುದಾರರು” ಎಂದು ಸಾರಿದರು. ವರುಣ್ ಸಿಡಿ ಕೂಡ ಅಂತಹ ತಂತ್ರದ ಒಂದು ಅಂಗವೇ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಎರಡು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಚಾನೆಲ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇಬ್ಬರು ‘ಪದ್ಮಶ್ರೀ’ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವರುಣ್ ಸಿಡಿಯನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ವಿವಾದವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸಿತು. ಆ ಪದ್ಮಶ್ರೀಗಳು ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು  “Drum Beaters of Secularism”ಗಳನ್ನು ‘ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ರೂಮ್’ಗೆ ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಾಮೂಲಿ ತುತ್ತೂರಿ ಊದಿಸಿದರು. ಹಾಗೆ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಧ್ವನಿಯೆತ್ತುವವರನ್ನು ದೂಷಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತಾನು ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ ಪರ ಎಂದು ಬಿಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ಮತಗಳನ್ನು ಸೆಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮುಂದಾಯಿತು. ಅದರ ತಂತ್ರ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೂ ನಿಜ. ಆದರೆ ವರುಣ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಎನ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎ ಹೇರಿದ ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಮಾಯಾವತಿಯವರು, ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜವಾದಿ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಶಾಕ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು. ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ-ದಲಿತ-ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಮತಸೂತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಉತ್ತರಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಆಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ತಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಮಾಯಾವತಿ ಈಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ಅದೇ ತಂತ್ರ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಮತಗಳ ಏಕೈಕ ಹಕ್ಕುದಾರ ಪಕ್ಷವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸಮಾಜವಾದಿ ಪಕ್ಷ ಕೂಡ ವರುಣ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಎನ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎ ಹೇರಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಟೀಕಿಸಿದೆ. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಂತೂ ಇದು ಬಿಎಸ್‌ಪಿ-ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ತಂತ್ರ ಎಂದು ದೂರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇತ್ತ ವರುಣ್ ಘಟನೆಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಕೂಡ ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ನೆಲೆ ಗಟ್ಟಿಗೊಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗಂತ ಮಾಯಾವತಿಯವರೇನು ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರ ಮೇಲಿನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ವರುಣ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಎನ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎ ಹೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆಯೇ? ಆಕೆಯದ್ದೂ ‘ಡ್ರಾಮಾ’ವೇ. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದೂ ಡ್ರಾಮಾವನ್ನೇ. ಆದರೆ ವರುಣ್ ಶರಣಾಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ‘ನಾಟಕ’ವೆಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದೇಕೆ?

ಅದಿರಲಿ, ‘ಯಾರೇ ಆಗಿರಲಿ, ಆರೋಪ ಸಾಬೀತಾಗುವವರೆಗೂ ನಿರಪರಾಧಿ’ ಎಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ನ್ಯಾಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯೇ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತಹ “Principles of natural justice” ಅನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ಸತ್ಯಾಸತ್ಯತೆ ಸಾಬೀತಾಗುವ ಮೊದಲೇ ವರುಣ್‌ನನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯೆಂಬಂತೆ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು, ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸರಿ? ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ, ಶರಣಾಗತಿಯ ವೇಳೆ ಭುಗಿಲೆದ್ದ ಹಿಂಸಾಚಾರದ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ದೇಶದ ಭದ್ರತೆಗೆ ಅಪಾಯ ತಂದೊಡ್ಡುವವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇರಲಾಗುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಕಾಯಿದೆಯನ್ನು ವರುಣ್ ಹಾಕುವುದಾದರೆ ಮಾಯಾವತಿಯವರು ಅಂತಹ ಯಾವ ತಪ್ಪನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲವೆ? ಠಾಕೂರ್, ಬನಿಯಾ, ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ್ ಚೋರ್/ ಬಾಕಿ ಸಬ್ ಹೈ ದುಶ್ವರ್/ ತಿಲಕ್, ತರಜು ಔರ್ ತಲ್ವಾರ್/ ಇನ್‌ಕೋ ಮಾರೋ ಜೂತಾ ಚಾರ್-ಹೀಗೆ ಮೇಲ್ಜಾತಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಚಪ್ಪಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಡೆಯಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕರೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಮಾಯಾವತಿಯವರ ಮೇಲೇಕೆ ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಯಾರೂ ಕಠಿಣ ಕಾಯಿದೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇರಿ, ಬಂಧಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ? ಆಕೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಜಾತಿ-ಕೋಮು ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆಗೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವಂತಹವು ಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲವೆ? ೨೦೦೬ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಲಾಯಂ ಸರಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಖಾತೆ ಸಚಿವರಾಗಿದ್ದ  ಹಾಜಿ ಯಾಕೂಬ್ ಖುರೇಶಿಯವರು, ಡೆನ್ಮಾರ್ಕ್ ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯಚಿತ್ರ ಬರಹಗಾರನ ತಲೆ ಕಡಿದು ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟವರಿಗೆ 51 ಕೋಟಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದಾಗ ಏಕೆ ಯಾವ ಕಾನೂನುಗಳೂ ನೆನಪಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ? ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರವನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಒಸಾಮಾ ಬಿನ್ ಲಾಡೆನ್‌ನ ತದ್ರೂಪಿಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಪಾಸ್ವಾನ್ ಮತಯಾಚಿಸಿದ್ದು ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹಿ ಕೃತ್ಯವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲವೆ? ಯಾರವನು ರಾಮ? ಯಾವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಿಂದ ಆತ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಡಿಗ್ರಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ? ಎಂದು ಕರುಣಾನಿಧಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದಾಗಲೂ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ನೋವಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಹಿಂದೂಗಳೂ ರೊಚ್ಚಿಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ಕರುಣಾನಿಧಿಗೇಕೆ ಕಾನೂನಿನ ಪಾಠ ಕಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ? “ಸಮಾಜವಾದವಾಗಲಿ, ಸೆಕ್ಯುಲರಿಸಂ ಆಗಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸಲೂ ಬಿಡಬಾರದು. ಕುರಾನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸುನ್ನತ್‌ಗಳೇ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನಾಳಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಆಗಿಂದಾಗ್ಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ನೀಡುವ ಹುರ್ರಿಯತ್ ನಾಯಕ ಸಯ್ಯದ್ ಅಲಿ ಶಾ ಗಿಲಾನಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಕೋಮುವಾದವನ್ನಲ್ಲವೆ? ಅಮರನಾಥ ಸಂಘರ್ಷದ ವೇಳೆ ಶ್ರೀನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಕ್ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಹಾರಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ತ್ರಿವರ್ಣ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕಿದ ಯಾವ ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರಿಯನ್ನೂ ಎನ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎ ಅಡಿ ಏಕೆ ಬಂಧಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ? ಮುಂಬೈ ದಾಳಿಯ ವೇಳೆ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದನೆ ನಿಗ್ರಹ ಪಡೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕರ್ಕರೆ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದಾಗ “ಅದರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳ ಕೈವಾಡವಿದೆ” ಎಂದಿದ್ದ ಅಬ್ದುರ್ ರೆಹಮಾನ್ ಅಂತುಳೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಹಿಂಸೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಚೋದನೆ ನೀಡುವಂತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲವೆ?

ಇದ್ಯಾವುದೂ ವರುಣ್‌ರನ್ನು ದೂಷಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ Secular ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆ ಅವು  “Sick’ular Media ಗಳಾಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿವೆ! ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಬೇಕಾ? ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೂಗಿನ ನೇರಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ Interpret ಮಾಡುತ್ತವೇ ನೀವೇ ಗಮನಿಸಿ…

ಇಂತಹ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಬಹುದು. “I am a Hindu, I am a Gandhi and I am an Indian in equal measure” ಎಂದು ವರುಣ್ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ “ಇದು ತೀರಾ ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ’, ‘ಕೋಮುವಾದಿ’ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಎಂದು ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು, ಅಣು ಒಪ್ಪಂದದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಮತ ಗೊತ್ತುವಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಕಾನ್ಫೆರೆನ್ಸ್ ಸಂಸದ ಉಮರ್ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರು, “I am a proud Muslim” ಎಂದಾಗ ‘ಅದ್ಭುತ ಭಾಷಣ’ ಎಂದು ಬಿಂಬಿಸಿದ್ದವು. ಒಬ್ಬ ಹಿಂದೂ ನಾನೊಬ್ಬ ಹಿಂದೂ ಎಂದರೆ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಸೆಕ್ಯುಲರಿಸಂ ನೆನಪಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದವರೆಲ್ಲ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರು ಗೊತ್ತಾದ ಕೂಡಲೇ, ‘ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದನೆಗೆ ಜಾತಿ, ಧರ್ಮ, ಬಣ್ಣವಿಲ್ಲ. ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದಕರು ಯಾವ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೂ ಸೇರಿದವರಲ್ಲ” ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅದೇ ಸಾಧ್ವಿ ಪ್ರಗ್ಯಾಸಿಂಗ್, ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದಯಾನಂದ್ ಪಾಂಡೆ ಮಾಲೆಗಾಂವ್ ಬಾಂಬ್ ಸ್ಫೋಟದ ಆರೋಪಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅದ್ಹೇಗೆ ‘ಸ್ಯಾಫ್ರಾನ್ ಟೆರರ್’, ‘ಹಿಂದು ಟೆರರ್’ ಆಗಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ? ಆಗ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದನೆಗೆ ಏಕೆ ಜಾತಿ, ಧರ್ಮ, ಬಣ್ಣಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಿಡುತ್ತವೆ? ಅರವತ್ತೊಂಬತ್ತು ಜನರ ಹತ್ಯೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣನಾದ ಕೊಯಮತ್ತೂರು ಬಾಂಬ್ ಸ್ಫೋಟದ ರುವಾರಿ ಮದನಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ತಮಿಳುನಾಡು ಹಾಗೂ ಕೇರಳ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗೊತ್ತುವಳಿ ಮಂಡಿಸಿ, ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿದ್ದು ಹಾಗೂ ಆತನ ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಹಿಂತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹವಲ್ಲವೆ? ಇದ್ಯಾವುದೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಚೀನಾದವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಂಪ್ಯೂ ಟರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಹ್ಯಾಕ್ ಮಾಡಿ, ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕದಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದು, ಹಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಮ್ಯುನಿಸ್ಟರು ತೆಪ್ಪಗಿರುವುದು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹವೆನಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಬಾಂಗ್ಲಾದೇಶಿ ಅತಿಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರರು ದೇಶದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ನುಸುಳಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಗುರುತಿನ ಚೀಟಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಗಂಡಾಂತರವೆನಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ!ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಿಗೇನಾಗಿದೆ? ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆಂಟು ವರ್ಷದ ಯುವಕ ವರುಣ್‌ಗೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಬೇಡವೆನ್ನುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕವಾಗಿ ಫಾಸಿಗೇರಿಸುವ ಯತ್ನ ಸರಿಯೇ?

    HI Pratap Simha.

    I always advocated that your writings be translated to English [or Hindi]. And I have often expressed the same with you. Because, the vernacular press, in India, is not “sick”ular to the extreme. It still has nationalist journalists. But the English media in India is the most “sick”ular media. It can write vehement editorials on the plight of Gujarati Muslims, but never a single word about the pitiful condition of Kashmiri Pundits.

    But there is a Pratap to keep a vigil on the hypocricy of the “sick’ular English media. If your writings can be translated to English, as they appear in Kannada, the men in the English media too can have a taste of your writings. It may eventually make them to look at the Hindu sentiments with an open eye.

    I don’t say that the “sick”ular English media will take a U turn overnight. It takes time. But, translating your thoughts will certainly remind them that there is a Pratap Simha to question their double-standards.

    now a days the news channels have become entertainment channels.they have forgotten the very purpose of their existence.the way they show even silly bollywood gossips under the head ‘breaking news’ is really ridiculous.their duty is just to telecast news and debate on the issues regarding it.but these ‘sick’ news channels have started ‘creating news’.isn’t there any law to question them?
    sometimes i doubt are we hindus foreigners in this country!!?

    ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಗೆ ಅವರ ಮನೆತನದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳ ಪರ ಇರೋದು ನೋಡೋಕೆ ಆಗ್ತಾ ಇಲ್ಲ.
    ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಂದರೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರ ಪರ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡೋ ಪಕ್ಷ. ಅವರ ಏಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೂ ಪರವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರ ಪರ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರಿಗೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಸಾಕು.
    ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ pseudo-sickular ಜನರನ್ನು ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಗುಂಡು ಹಾರಿಸಬೇಕು, ಆಗಲೇ ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿ ಸಾಧ್ಯ.

    Thanks for the article, as every visitor of this article says, yep you deserve the thanks from the people, no doubt in it.

    actually media became money machine and it’s another segment of business now a days. Huge competition in 24 hour news channels and the money minded people are redefining the dictionary meaning of the media and journalism.
    and the people joining the media, just for the profession not for the passion.

    ವರುಣ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ತಿ ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಸಿಗುವ ಅರ್ಥ ನೀವು ತಿಳಿಸಿದಂತೆ ದೇಶ ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳ ಮೇಲಿನ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯೇ ಆಗಿದೆ. ನೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಹಿಂಸಾತ್ಮಕ ಆಗಿದ್ದರು ಕೂಡ ಅವು ಏನ್ ಎಸ್ಸ್ ಎ ಹೆರುವಂಥ ಅಪರಾಧ ಏನಲ್ಲ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನಿನ್ನೆ ಲಾಲು ಅವರು ವರುಣ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ರೋಡ್ ರೋಲ್ಲರ್ ನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಬೇಕೆನ್ನುವ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಗೆ ಏನು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು? ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವೇನೆಂದರೆ ಭಾರತ ಹಿಂದೆ ಒಂದು ಅಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಆಗಿದ್ದು ಮುಂದೆ ಕೂಡ ಭಾರತದ ಭವ್ಯ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ಇರುಹುದೇ ಅಧ್ಯತ್ಹ್ಮದಲ್ಲೇ, ಇದರಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ಭಾರತೀಯರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮಾನವಿಯತೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನ, ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗಳು ಮಾನವಿಯತೆ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನ ಅಳವಡಿಕೊಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಹಿಂದೂಗಳು/ಭಾರತೀಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೀಳರಿಮೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು , ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದಕ್ಕೂ ಪಾಶ್ಚಿಮಾತ್ಯ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದ ಕಡೆ ಮುಖ ಮಾಡು ಹುದನ್ನು ಬಿಡಬೇಕು. ಇದು ನಮ್ಮ ಗುಲಾಮಗಿರಿಯ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಈ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ವಿದೇಶಿ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು. ಈ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಇಂದಲೇ ೧೮ ನೆ ಶತಮಾನದವರೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲೇ ಆತಿ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ದೇಶವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಭಾರತ ಈಗ ಅತಿ ಬಡ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ.
    ನಾವು ಭಾರತೀಯರು ಒಂದು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಎದುರಾದಾಗ ಅದನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುವ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಆ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಬೃಹದಾಕಾರವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದು ಅದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತ ಹಾಕುಹುದು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಅಸಾದ್ಯ ವಗುತದೆ. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಕೂಡ. ಸೆಕ್ಯುಲರಿಸಂ ನೆಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಪ್ಸುಎದೋ ಸೆಕ್ಯುಲರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಗಳು ಹಿಂದುತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಥನದುವುದೇ ಅಪರಾದ ಎನ್ನುವ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತುತಿದ್ದರೆ, ಹಾಗೆ ಹಿಂದುತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮೌನವಹಿಸುಹುದರಿಂದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಬಗೆಹರಿಯುಹುದು ಎಂದು ಸಾರಲು ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಸ್ಲಾಂ ಅಥವಾ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಮತದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇನ್ನೊದು ಧರ್ಮವಲ್ಲು ಹೀನಾಯವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುವ ಪ್ರವ್ರುತಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಧರ್ಮವೇ ಎಲ್ಲಕ್ಕೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಎಂಬ ಯು ತಪ್ಪನ್ನು ಮುಕ್ತ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಒಂದು ಹೊಸ ಮನವಿಯ ಸಮಾಜದ ಕನಸು ನನಸಾಗುಹುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾದ್ಯ.

    ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಉಂಟಾದಾಗ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ೩ ರೀತಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣಬಹುದು
    ೧. ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂದು ಅದನ್ನ ಬಗೆಹರಿಸಲು ಯೋಚಿಸಿ ಅದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಪ್ರವ್ರುಥರಗುವವರು.
    ೨. ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದರು ಏನು ಮಾಡುಹುದು ಎಂದು ಗೊತ್ಹ್ಥಗದೆ ಮೇಲಿನ ವರ್ಗದವರಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುವವರು ಹಾಗು ಅನ್ಥರ್ವಾಹಿನಿ ಆಗಿ ಇರುವವರು.
    ೩. ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾದರೂ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸದೇ, ಎದುರಿಸದೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನೋಡುವರು.
    ನಾವು ಹಿಂದೂಗಳು/ಭಾರತೀಯರು ಮೊದಲನೇ ವರ್ಗದ ಜನರಗಳು ಗುರಿ ಹೊಂದಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಎರಡನೇ ವರ್ಗದ ಜನರು ಮೊದಲೇ ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳಲು ದಾರಿ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ. ೩ ನೆ ವರ್ಗದ ಜನರು ದೇಶ ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳಲ್ಲ್ದೆ ಬೇರೇನೂ?

    ಇದು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವಿಷಯವಲ್ಲ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೆಲವು ದಶಾಮಾನಗಳೆ ಹಿಡಿಯ ಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ಸಾದ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನಸುಗಳು ಒಂದಾಗಬೇಕು. ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ದೂರವಿಡಬೇಕು.

    I dont want to raise the name any media. Some of News channel is involving with hate journalism particular party or state. It is not good for Journalism. I am leaving Outside the country in a peacful nation. I am very sad whenever i am reading this caste religion politics news. It is very unfortunate that we have Politicians like Hullu (Lalu )Yadav, Paswan, So called Pardhani candidate Mayavati, Karuna Nidhi. They are opportunistic politicians . Bootout these raubbish politicians. When our India will become free from Such garbage rubbish, problamatic ,waste politicians? God only Knows. For that all our voters should go to booth and cast their vote very cautiously!. WE want a good politician even if he belongs to any party! But dont fall to pray , Sick-ular concepts. They are atleast practically a non sense concept . Every party playing Caste , religion politics. First teach them a lesson. Pratap sir my kind suggestion is that try to publish these things as a blog in english and hindi , there by some interested people can read. Please try to learn the things from mistakes.     I read the article. it is good, opens some of the un-refusable facts of today’s india. However, It is defensive in nature, not just. See the following statement:

    Do you want taliban/afghanistan in India too, cutting hands and heads by taking law in everyone’s hand, with their own interpretation of the law?
    Your statement meas that.
    Everyone of us agree that there is no one superior than the law of the soil. the law of the soil is justice to everyone, live and let live.
    In the article, you did not “point” at least once that if the wordings used by Varun are wrong, if it were true. You say, tit-for-tat, if they [terrorists/non-hindus/muslims whatever] cut your hands, you want to cut their hands.
    There is a difference: you should ask the law of the soil to punish, rather you should never try to cut/encourage anyone trying to cut hands/heads. It is not good for a country as a whole.
    I dont support any political party in india. all parties play politics. every party wants to “take adavantage of the situation” This is very bad for india
    Media is not taking responsibility [note: you are also part of active media]. People in media want just their stuff sold. There should be a way the Media is monitored to go in the right track always. if it deviates, law should direct it.

    Blaming media, you, me, muslims, hindus, parties is not the solution. We need to strengthen our constitution which is same for all. We don’t need reservations, we need education. we need good infrastructure. we need jobs for everyone. we need same justice for everyone. We need Patriots. Traitors should be given enough time and opportunities in prison to prove their patriotism and should be given high punishment by the law[not people] so that everyone is aware of the the trait/traitor.
    you would agree that most of us cheat the govt/law of the soil, for our benefits [not paying taxes, taking reservations by not showing correct income, bribing traffic police, bribing clerks in govt offices for our work, etc, etc] of course, we all do it because we are forced to do it, in the current system, where law is just in the papers. it is not applied uniformly. People want to misuse their powers, mis-interpret the law.
    In such a case, do you think, we still need such a democracy? i dont.

    these are the thoughts came in my mind after reading your article, just wanted to share it with you.

    ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ,ಪರಂಪರೆ, ಕಲೆ,ವಿಚಾರ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರೆ ಕೋಮುವಾದ ಎನ್ನುವ ಈ ಜನರು ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಾಪ,
    ಇದು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷಾತೀತವಾದ ವಿಷಯ. ನಾಡು, ನುಡಿ, ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮ ಇವತ್ತು ಕಾಣದಾಗಿದೆ. ಪುಣ್ಯವಶಾತ್ ನಿಮ್ಮಂಥ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರು ಈ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವುದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಷಯ.

    ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಗೆ ಅವರ ಮನೆತನದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳ ಪರ ಇರೋದು ನೋಡೋಕೆ ಆಗ್ತಾ ಇಲ್ಲ.
    ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಂದರೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರ ಪರ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡೋ ಪಕ್ಷ. ಅವರ ಏಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೂ ಪರವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರ ಪರ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರಿಗೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಸಾಕು.
    ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ pseudo-sickular ಜನರನ್ನು ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಗುಂಡು ಹಾರಿಸಬೇಕು,

    Hellow Pratap..I read ur many articals..so far…but I am not really agree with this one..so I am sending comments…lsiten Mr.Prtap…u may srible that nothig was wrong in what Varun Did. I agree..nothing much wrong..but is it…completely acceptable..?
